Well it's been a long time since I've been part of the conversation that said I've been rather busy making a film.

Today though I'm starting a series of articles on The Investigative Judgment!

Here's a link to Part One and I hope you enjoy it. There's at least 6 more coming.

Thanks mj but it's really the speaker that deserves all the credit I need to add his name to the article once I'm certain of who it is. I'm guess it's the person who runs the website.

The scary thing is I have 11 pages of notes from the first part (34 minute) section. I still have a 40 plus minute section and a third shorter section to go.

I recommend just hearing it for yourself bearing in mind that the Doctrine is far, FAR more disturbing than I ever thought possible.

Timothy Oliver, the owner of the "Think About Eternity" website is a former mormon and former SDA. He is associated with Watchman Fellowship, a Christian apologetics and cult-watch group. I once attended a seminar he led about how to witness to mormons, and I briefly talked with him about adventism.

I want to thank you for all your hard work, time and passion in these writings and doing this web site.

In all my 60 some years as an Adventist, having read EGW books several times over and knowing this Investigative Judgment can I now see how horribly convoluted this teaching is. In fact I cannot recall reading anything so mixed up twisted and full of non-sense. There is no way a person can actually follow this stuff to any cognitive understanding and thus the reason only parts of it are taken in and then even so on a level that is surface yet enough to get the jest of it and realize they need to work harder to make it to heaven.

It reminds me of neuro-linguistic programing – the style she uses is hard to follow completely so while the mind is busy trying to figure out what she wrote it stops reasoning (like hypnotism) and the rest of the programing goes through and is ingrained into mind and retained. Really it is in my opinion, pure brainwashing which is easy to do to people and especially when they are themselves needy, seeking and looking for something to help them with their guards down thus they are unaware of what it actually going on. Exactly what a person is doing in a church in the place.

Now once in this brainwashing state it is very hard for the person to back out of it since the teaching if very ingrained and they themselves can’t follow any logic through it or out of it thus it becomes pure belief. A belief is very hard to break through and in this case even harder because it has the religious element as well as the misuse of Scripture to fill and back-up the belief. EGW writes her own thing (or copied stuff) and throughout interjects parts of scripture sometimes complete verses but many times partial verses. This gives her writings an air of authority and accuracy, much to the demise of the reader who assumes the writings of hers do indeed match up to scripture. And it is a brainwashing technique - injecting a bit of truth with a whole lot of falsehood.

This all makes me feel physically sick just dealing with it and even reading about it today. I have not been out of Adventism for very long, less than a year. Now talking to Adventists makes me want to bang their head or mine on a wall because of the mind twisting things that come out of their mouths. Most do not even care to hear anything that contradicts their belief system, it instantly angers them and more so depending on how engrained they are. They instantly bash you for anything they happen to think they can or they simply say, “Oh that isn’t true, the Adventist church is the true church because we have the gift of prophecy.”

I find it interesting that, if I recall correctly that EGW wrote that one is not to read other Christian teachings or materials outside her or the churches books. So caught are the Adventists in a circle of lies and convoluted brainwashing it is any wonder that any of us made it out still believing in Christ – well we didn’t certainly do it on our own. For me I can truly say that it was God that brought me out from under the fog, lies, brainwashing, and showed me Jesus Christ. I am sooo incredibly grateful.

Mountaingirl~

"I am sooo incredibly grateful," also ! :-)

I have been 'out' for quite a few years, but I still thank 'Our' Father in Heaven
for HIS Grace upon me, every day!

The working of the HOLY SPIRIT is a mystery; how HE impresses hearts to
seek the LORD~ for anyone reading these posts, if you have ignored the 'tug' of the HOLY SPIRIT,
Respond! As Scripture states, "today is the day of salvation," seek Truth from GOD's Word,
it is only there you will find it.

'egw', according to adventist understanding, barely had an eighth grade education~
In view of this, there is no way she could have come up with, on her own, the doctrines she wrote.

This is why I feel secure in saying that she was 'channeled' by the Spirit of Darkness~(satan)~
'egw', for whatever reason, was an 'open vessel' just waiting to be filled,
and filled she was, with all the elements that create 'FEAR'!
adventism at it's 'Core' is the most FEAR-based religion I can think of!

The way to 'counter' an adventist in their belief is pray and then speak the 'Truth in Love'.

I choose not to argue with an adventist anymore. It does not bring honor to GOD; mainly because
they become angry and combative.
I will answer questions if I believe they are truly seeking 'Biblical Truth'~

In the book of Matthew JESUS told the disciples the following before they went
out to preach the 'Gospel'~

"And when you ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."
Matthew 10:12, 13, 14. KJV Translation.

"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Matthew 7:6. KJV Translation.

You're welcome everyone!

It is my pleasure to share what God led me to.

I find it interesting that the last time I used Transcription skills was doing medical transcription of lectures.

This is much more interesting and not full of words I didn't understand or could not spell!

Anyhow, once again, God blessed me through Timothy Oliver's 3 part teaching, the glory goes to God. I am enjoying sharing these notes with you and glad that they're such a help.

A little late but here's Part 8: Disarming the Investigative Judgment Part 8: False and True Justification

God Bless!
