You might be thinking, what the heck he mean by that title.

Well Created this Bible Study many years ago during my time after leaving the church.

While studying I thought, there must be something in God's word that can not only bring hope to others, but bring hope to those trying to leave the Adventist Church, also this study am going to present has caused me to become a hated enemy of Adventists for it proves that the Bible Alone is standard above all other works of man or women.

Now I present to you folks here. One of my first bible studies. Do enjoy.

Permission is hereby given for anyone to copy and use this study for themselves or use this study in a group session to anyone leaving the church.

Caution, if you present this to a Seventh-day Adventist you run the risk of being hated, cursed and so forth. <--- You been warned, not my fault you did not heed the warning. :-)

The Scriptures A Safeguard

Isa. 8:20 :To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

2 Tim. 3:16, 17 :All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1 John 4:1 :Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Matt. 7:15, 20 :Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Prov. 19:27, (20) :Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Eze. 33:31-33 :And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not. And when this cometh to pass,(lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

1 John 2:3-4 :And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He hath said, I know him, and keepth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 Peter 1:23-25 :Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

2 Peter 1:19-21 :We have also a more sure word of prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Tim. 4:2-4 :Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Prov. 14:12; 16:25 :There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

John 7:16-18 :Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

John 8:32 :And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Ps. 119:18 : Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

1 Cor. 2:10-14 :But God hath reavealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things we also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

John 14:26 :But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Eph. 6:17-last part :the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Joshua 1:7-8 : Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thour shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Ps. 119:129-130 :Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Prov. 6:23 :For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

James 1:21-26 :Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Deut. 11:18-21 :Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou riseth up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

Prov. 3:13 :Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Ps. 1:1-3 :Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth fort his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

John 5:39 :Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Prov. 30:5-6 :Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Psalms 119:89 :For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

Heb. 4:12 :For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Rom. 15:4 :For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Rom. 10:17 :So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1 Thess. 2:13 :For this cause also thank we God, without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Eccl. 3:14 :I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever; nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Rev. 22:18-19 :For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plaques that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

End of Study

In closing, like to state. That this study brought me much joy and peace, I still have my notes all these years as I tore apart writings of EGW and could not find any that supported the Holy Bible.
