Dear Colleen,

I am so anxious to hear what God will do through you and your husband and all the participants for the SDA community this weekend. MAY GOD LIFT YOU AND GIVE YOU BOLDNESS AND POWER AND STILLNESS AND HIS AWSOME SPIRIT.

Colleen and Richard,

Sylvia and I are praying for this special FAF Weekend that many will accept Jesus as their True Sabbath Rest. We are anxious to hear a report.

Hello to all. I'm home again. I won't lie, it is very painful right now, but the doctor assures me that everything went well. Now all I need is patience because the healing period is a long one.

Love, Belva

Thank-you for your prayers. I had a wonderful discussion on a broad range of spiritual topics. It was nice to have an open dialogue with a fellow seeker while laying aside needless baggage. Randy

This is not a personal request, but I'm on a mailing list for gaither.com and if any of you ever watch those programs or are familiar with the incredible pianist Anthony Burger, he passed away last night during a concert. Apparently, he collapsed on stage and could not be revived. He was 44. Here is a weblink for those interested in keeping up with it, http://gaither.com/news/news1100.html

Wow. I hadn't really known of him until I saw him perform on the Gaithers' program on TBN (Precious Memories) just last week! (It was a video from like last year or so, though.) How shocking--I'll pray for his family and everyone else grieving.

My SDA sibs, parents, my children and I need prayer. I don't want to go into details, but there is a serious situation going on with my parents, which involves my sibs, my children and msyelf, and it is getting worse. The fears and pressures of Adventism has made a bad situation for some, and one, especially, in particular, very seriously worse.

It is affecting my health, my sleep and my children. My kids and I are the only family my elderly parents have to help them, and we cannot do all that they need. This is a part of it. And my mother is not in a real good situation. Prayer is all I have for many things.

Being on this forum helps because I focus on Christ so much and am with other Believers, who share a common/familiar background and faith in him.

Thank you~

Cathy, I will pray.

Belva, Hope you are healing well!

Please pray for me as I spend next week with my parents. I have no idea what to expect as I plan to further discuss my convictions. Please pray that God keeps me focused on the joy I have found. The last two days have been awesome. God is holding me close, and given me focus on Him, rather than the difficult circumstances in my own home, and my extended family as well.

Thank you Raven~

Belva~

I don't know all your surgery details, having not been here to know, but I have had foot, joint, shoulder problems and am facing surgery. I imagine that you have suffered a bit even before your operation. I can feel for you. So I pray for your swift healing and reduction in pain.

If you would like to know any natural methods for healing in essential oils, which might help, please, feel free to email me. choosier1@msn.com (SDA-health theory excluded :-) ) Might help, can't hurt. Arnica cream is one, specifically for this kind of thing for bones, joints, bruising from surgery.

Thank you so much for your offer of anything else. That was so sweet in the Lord. You know what I need? Christian, women sisters.

Since my divorce, moving back to the city and no car, right now, we (daughters and me) cannot get to church and have not gotten to know anyone real close, yet. I homeschool, so I am not out there to know public school parents. My closest women friends have all moved out of state in the past 2 years. Ahhhh! Jesus has brought me to a place, where he wants me all to himself, I think!!! :-)

Anyway, all of you women are dear, here~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Javagirl~
Thank you~
I will pray for you, most certainly.
I do, so well, know how hard this can be to discuss a change of convictions (even small ones!) with SDA family!
The enemy will try to steal our joy in the Lord, but just rebuke that! Evil has NO power over you in Christ!
Even if they bring you down, it is only flak. Only flak.
It is about them, not you. Not you.
What you have is real.
What they have makes them defensive and might make you feel badly, but Christ makes you feel joy, freedom and peace. Hold to that, not the negative flak.
I may be assuming things here, but it sounds like you feel that your family might not react very well.
What ever the case, I pray that Christ's courage, Word and serenity are with you in all ways, each moment, evry need met. And that you come away from this with his peace and satisfied in him.
Grant all this, for these precious women, our Lord, Jesus~
Yours in Christ,
Cathy
Praying for you Cathy and Java.
I also have a prayer request tonight. It has been about one year since I finally decided to post on this forum. I have come to really enjoy the unique fellowship this site offers. I appreciate the fact that we have this prayer fellowship.
My wife who had a career ending stroke in Oct. 04, has had a wonderful healing so far. With the stroke, she lost her hearing in the left ear. God, in His providence has worked to give the opportunity for her to have a cochlear implant in LA tomorrow. They don't know if it will work, but we are trusting the Lord in this. I would appreciate your prayers for not only her physical healing, but for spiritual healing as well.
Thanks to all for a great first year of interesting dialogue.
Stan
