Cathy,
I am so sorry. I will remember your children in my prayers and you also.
Father in Heaven, You are the I AM, the Counselor and you are the Alpha and Omega. Please be with Cathy's kids right now as they are undergoing this experience with their father and his girl friend. Bring them home to Cathy, safely. Show the father that he has to defend and care for his kids from this woman, who is mistreating them. Be with Cathy, that her trust is in you and hold her close. You are in charge and all things will be to your name's honor and Glory. You are always awesome.

Heavenly Father, Please immerse Cathy's children in Your love and prove to them, and to Cathy, that perfect love casts out all fear. Wrap your loving arms around each of them and be their shield against the attacks of the evil ones. Strenghten their faith, not only in spite of, but as a result of these onslaughts. Buoy them up on Your ocean of love, so that they are totally incapable of sinking. Lift them up on Your wings and raise them up to heavenly places within their minds, hearts and spirits. Give Cathy and her children powerful, Holy-Spirit-inspired words to speak that will dispel the darkness and paralyze the evil ones, rendering them completely harmless. Turn this situation around to bring honor to Your Name and glory to Your Son. In His name.

Dear Father, please hold Cathy and Melissa in your arms and strengthen them with power from your Holy Spirit in their inner beings, that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith, and that they may know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, and be filled to the measure with the fullness of God.

Please protect their children from abusive and unbelieving fathers, and please provide for the future./ Please keep the children safe from abuse and from its deep scars, and please help them all to come to know you (if they don't yet). Please guard their hearts and minds in Jesus, and help them to experience Your protection and peace and courage.

Thank you, Jesus, that when you suffered for us, you redeemed not only our own sins but also the sins perpetrated against us. Please heal the children's deep woundsóand also their mothers'.

Thank you for knowing all of our needs before we know themóand better than we know them. I praise you for being our God! Amen.

I'm sorry it's taken me awhile to post this, but just want to let you know that my assistant's surgery went well -- the mass was benign! Praise God!! I've visited her a couple of times, and she's doing well. Her usual talkative self (even through the morphine), and has even been cracking jokes. She knows that people have been praying for her (she's on several prayer lists), and I think that has touched her in a special way. Her voice broke slightly the morning of her surgery when she told me it was comforting to know people were praying for her, and that she's never had that experience before. So, thank you all for your prayers.

I'll be praying for you, Cathy and Melissa.

Thank you, sisters.

It brought tears to my eyes reading your posts.

Sabra, yes--I have been rebuking the evil there, too. Thank you.

Oh Friends, I have all kinds of prayer requests today. I just received a phone call from my son in Little Rock Arkansas. He told me that his Dad, my ex, is in the hospital for quadruple bypass surgery. He is at the Adventist hospital in Takoma Park, the Washington Adventist Hospital. He had surgery today. It was unexpected. So that is number 1. Number 2 is my son is interviewing with various US Government agencies for a job with them when he leaves the Air Force. He has an interview tomorrow at noon, Arkansas time. Pray, that if that is what God wants for him that he will get one of those jobs. He gets out of the USAF in about a year. Number 3-my son was jogging and has a pain in his leg that has not gone away and the brat has not gone to see the base doctor about it. He cannot jog, but he can ride his bike to work, so that is how he is getting his exercise. So pray that the leg is okay and that there is not a stress fracture there.
Thanks for all you prayers. God is good and He is so awesome.

Praying, Diana.

Lord, make the doctors wise and bring swift healing.

My son is the same way. God looks after them, thank him!

Dear Friends, My 20 year old son and I are homeless in Honolulu. It's a total bummer. my oldest son, the father of my grandchildren had me come out on the pretense of helping out his wife while he's gone on the submarine for five mnths. The 20 year old came along thinking he could get a job, get his own apartment and be a grown-up. Unfortunatelly I had to choose between having the younger son be homeless in a city of over a million people alone or being homeless with him. I chose to be with him. So far the only reason that we have gotten from the older son as to how come he made us leave is that the younger one "was not invited". I thought he had an open invitation. Heck, he went to his brothers house a lot in california and there was never a problem. I have written to my oldest son and have left messages on his phone to please at least let me have a relationship with the children. I have asked if we can meet each week for several hours at a nuteral location so I can hang with the kids, you know, like Chuchie Cheese, the zoo or a park. I get no response at all. I have babysat those children ALOT during the past three years ( they are 3 year olds) and have gotten to love them greatly. I think that now that my son doesn't need my help anymore then he just discards me. And, my 20 year old son gets along wonderfully with those children. Fortunatelly we were only totally homeless for 2 1/2 days. then we bought a car and the nice lady we are buying it from is letting us make payments and drive it and live in it until we can pay her off. I put a job application in at Costcl and got hired two days later. I have worked five days already. So there are blessings even in my dire circumstances. It is only part-time but at least it will get us buy for now. The younger son is putting in lots of job applications and hopefully will get employment soon. In the meantime please pray about my desperate situtation and especially petition God to place a burdon on my sons heart to let me be involved with those grandchildren who I love so much. Also for employment for the younger son as well as an apartment to rent. thank-you all very much.

Dear Diana, I will pray for suitable employment for you son and an easy transition back to being a civilian. Also, your sons fathers health issues. Another concern of mine is this-hurricane dennis is to his this exact area on thursday night. My son and I are living in the car. The reports are that all the highways are scheduled to be closed over the weekend and airline flights are cancelled going from here and coming in here. Of course, the airlines being cancelled doesn't concern me but it does affect a lot of people especially considering that every single day of the year Waikiki has between 250,000 and 300,000 tourists. However, the roads being closed is a big concern to me. I will not be contacting any churches as I already called the Red Cross and they will be distributing supplies, food, etc.

Tomorrow morning around 6:50 am CT, my son is being taken by his father for a family reunion in Berrien Springs MI. This is a court ordered vacation that I had no choice but to let him go on. He will be gone for 7 days in SDA-ville and to say I am concerned is mild. His father is currently dating a 21-year old (only 18 years younger than him) and I am afraid what 7 days with her might do to my young son as well as the whole event in general. There are so many serious requests I hate to throw one more on the fire, but it seems the dark forces are quite busy these days.

Melissa,
A prayer for you and your son: Father in Heaven, you are the Creator, the I AM, and the Alpha and Omega. You know what is best for each of us. I am coming to you at this time to ask you to care for Melissa's son as he goes off with his SDA father and his girlfriend. Hold her son in Your awesome arms and protect him from any kind of harm and influence.
Hold Melissa in your awesome arms also, that she will not worry about her son. She is a concerned Mom and that I can understand. Keep this family in the palms of your hands. You promise you will always be with us, even until the end of the world.
Thank you for answering our prayers.

Susan, a prayer for you also.
Another request God, because you know what is going on anyway. Take care of Susan and her son through this hurricane time. Keep your hand over them and protect them. Be with her other son, that he will reconcile with Susan before he ships out.
You know what is best for everyone and God you are in charge at all times.
Thank you for answering this prayer in your way and in your time.

I am putting this prayer request up early as I do not want to forget it. On August 12 my eldest sister, her youngest daughter, SIL and grandson and I are going on a cruise to Alaska. We will be back on Aug 19. Her SIL is a nominal Christian, her daughter is not. SOOOO, please pray for this part of my family and me while we are on vacation that I will be the person that God wants me to be. Pray that God will open their hearts to Him.
Thanks for all the prayers. I know God hears them.
He is so awesome.

we will be visiting my adventist mil, her husband and many members of the family (all devout sda) in orlando this weekend. i am always a little nervous and uptight when we get together so i need prayers that i can relax and enjoy the weekend with my husband's family. there always is something (can't do this on sat or we need to do this because it is sat., or how great sda schools would be for the kids, or diet, health) that i resent. we haven't seen them in four months (they purposely moved far away from civilization) so i want the weekend to go well.
also, i pray that my husband is not guilted into anything by his mother, although i now know she really believes what she tells him.
