Joyfulheart,
I know for me that God had me alone and still has me alone to form friends at the church God told me to go to. When I left adventism, I thought I was the only one. God has let me meet two other formers who attend my church. They are young enough to be my children. I have given them my phone number, but they never call and that is good as they have their circle of friends.
A friend from Guest Central told me a former SDA pastor from CA went to Guest Central when he was visiting. She told him about me.
I will continue to pray for your friends.
Our awesome God is answering our prayers. Thank you God.

Joyfulheart, I so understand your struggle! God will bring fellowship into your lives, though...and it will be real, not fellowship that turns on you during times of crisis.

I'd just like to suggest that you and also your friends think about renouncing the spirit of Adventism, asking God to remove the spirit of Adventism from your hearts and placing His Spirit in the place Adventism formerly held. There really is a spiritual component, a real spiritual power that we must choose to leave behind. The reason it is so hard to leave is not primarily because of doctrine but because of the deep claim on our souls that Adventism had.

If it were just about information, leaving and changing beliefs would be quite easy. But there are identity and emotional issues as well as spiritual issues. The spiritual claim of Adventism is what drives the confusion and fear and the backwards glances.

We have to be willing to know we were part of true deception and repent of it, even if we were part of it unknowingly at first. it was when we prayed for God to remove the spirit of Adventism from our hearts and place His Spirit there that we finally became emotionally and spiritually free from it.

Toria, Mary,Joyfulheart,

Praying for you.

I have a prayer request that came in yesterday, A couple who are friends of ours, the woman is my wifes old class mate, Kenny is her husband and is also a Baptist minister.
At first she had diabetes and then had cancer of the breast, now Kenny has been in a car accident on his way to Memphis Tn. to preach and he has a broken back.

He had had to let his insurance drop all accept liability on his car because of the financial stress of Dr. bills already incurred, now this.

She is only drawing about 300.00 per month because she was a house wife most of the years leading up to her disability.

Now the doctor and hospital bills have exceeded over 100,000.00 and he is in much pain, she in such poor health from the aggravated diabetes and loss of vision.

These folks could use your prayers right now.

I haven't checked in with this section of the forum much, I guess maybe I have avoided it. There so many prayer request come in daily that I don't feel I can handle it all properly.

I don't feel like I am much of a prayer warrior and sometimes with caring for my uncle and aunt I feel a little over whelmed.

Please don't forget Jim, he is going through so much.

Just this morning there is Georgia fighting face and neck cancer, Jennifer facing brain surgery and a grandpa who was brutally assaulted, his home was broken into and he was beaten with a jack handle from his vehicle, his family who is on the way to Louisiana this morning. The grandpa is not cooperating with the police for some reason, it may be that it was relatives or someone he knew looking for drug money.

Plus my 20 or 30 Adventist friends who need Jesus, and if thats not enough, the forum, my study group, my brother, his son who has lukemia, both need Jesus.

I think I will just start holding them up as a lump and say "Lord here is my lump of folks this day".

Tha, Tha, tha, thats all folks.

River, I have a long list of people for whom I pray, also. When I mention them I say "God you know each one and what each needs and how best to do it, so I leave them in your hands". Some I mention by name. I will add the friend in the accident with the broken back-the Baptist minister and his family/wife.
When it comes to my family I tell God, "I know I try to dictate to you what to do for them so take them from me and do what is best". He always does. That is why He is so awesome.

I'd like to ask for prayer tonight...Richard has a laceration on his left eye at the 5 o'clock position near his field of vision. He has no idea how he got it, but over the past couple of days the pain became severe. The doctor patched it this morning and told him to come back first thing tomorrow. Apparently, although the tear is small, the rather severe pain suggests it's pretty deep.

Always, we need prayer as Proclamation is mailed out, that those who receive it will have hearts open to the truth, and that all those who have been involved in its production—including the authors—will have God's protection. There are always spiritual battles connected with this work...

Thanks to all of you.

Colleen, A prayer for Richard: Heavenly Father, you are the Great Physician, so I am bringing Richard to you with his eye injury. Heal him so he can continue to do the work you have given him to do.
I also ask that you prepare the hearts of all those that will be receiving Proclamation. May those who do not know you get to know you and turn to their Bibles to nourish a relationship with you. thank you awesome God for answering this prayer.

Thank you all. This morning the doctor said that the abrasion was two-thirds smaller than yesterday morning. It's still patched, but he thinks that tomorrow Richard will be able to remove the patch and it should be OK.

I am so grateful for your prayers. Last night, after wearing the patch all day, Richard's eye was still extremely painful and if anything felt worse. This morning it was greatly improved. Thank you for praying.

Colleen,

Checked in a little late but praying for Richard, also am going to send up prayers for you all who are involved with this mailing of Proclamation!

You know, I really like that name you all gave the mag. Thats about what it does, it is a proclamation of freedom to all who would hear.

I am coveting your prayers tonight on behalf of a dear friend of mine. Her 21 year old son was in an auto accident last night, has several skull fractures and they are not given much hope. I ask that you would lift him up in prayer, that if it is the Lord's will he might bring glory to His name by a miraculous healing. Also for strength for the family to get through this. It is devastating and I cannot begin to comprehend the pain of it. Thank you for your prayers, I will keep you updated as to what happens.

Thank you all so very much - I have not heard anything more at this time. I do not live near my friend so am waiting on news from family members. This friend is a former adventist, and sister in the Lord - I know He is with her and her family right now and I continue to pray that His name be glorified through this tragedy. My heart breaks but I hold on to the hope I have in the mighty name of Jesus.
