The Bible states that man inherited Adams sinful nature. Paul states that it permeates all we do, our good works, our love to God and man. Therefore we can never be righteous before God in ourselves, even with the aid of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Our only hope of righteousness or perfection in this life is in the righteousness of Jesus in heaven. We are only accounted righteous before God's throne when we accept Jesus as our Saviour and throughout our life here on earth.

Noone keeps the 10 commandments or loves God or others perfectly in this life. We are infected with sin and this is impossible.

Our only hope is in Jesus. Our faith in Him is counted as righteousness before God's throne in this life.

We are to avoid the sins of the flesh as they will destroy us, but what a price to pay. We can be forgiven thorugh the death of Jesus if we repent and turn from our sin, but why play with sin? We can lose our salvation in Jesus if we continue in sin.

But we will always stand in need of forgiveness in this life. Our salvation is complete in Jeus. Let us hold on to it with God's help.

But again I say it is my understanding that Jesus is my only perfection, my only complete righteousness in this life. We can only bow at His feet and thank Him for HIs willingness to walk up Calvarys road, endure mental anguish, physical pain, the wrath of God, Hell and death for all men that accept Him as their Saviour. What a price was paid for our soul.

Dear RaynaKay,

I don't know anyone -- not Billy Graham, not Chuck Swindoll (sp?), not Benny Hinn, not anyone -- who has a clearer vision of the gospel freedom that saves us from sinning against other people and from sinning against God than you do. I have learned from you.

Grace and peace,

-Jude

RaynaKay,

Hey, when I first started posting (on another website which shall remain unnamed) I did the same thing: two identical postings per attempt for six attempts. That's 12 goof-ups. Welcome to the club!

But it's your wonderful message that counts!

God bless,

Jude

Jude, it has taken a long time for me to understand this message. A lot of study and prayer as it is easily lost, and one can return to righteousness by works before God.

I know some people will not agree with me, but I can see it no other way.

Thanks for your supportive comment.

Rayna, sounds good to me.

I've had to ask Richard more than once to delete delete my double double posts.

Thanks Thanks, Richard.

Always happy to take care of the double double posts--and the triple triple triple ones, too! ; )
