My Prayer for Father's Day
Lord I just thank you for this day that we can honor our Fathers.
We start by honoring you, the Father of
us all; according to Galatians 3:
6And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" 7Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
I thank you for my Father and husbands who have been gone
from our presence many years.
I thank you for the legacy left to me
by my Father which left
me with a mind to figure
things out.
While I did not have a
close relationship with my Father,
as perceived by others,
I miss his silent strength.

I thank God for the Father of my children
and thank him for giving me
that occasion to be a
Mother
And I thank him for the
Father that he has been
always trying to make
things easier for
his children

I thank God for the other Fathersí
of those around this
table, and thank them for the
presence in their lives,
especially thru their testimony of
God in their lives.
I pray for***** in these stressful
days of business ahead and also for
***** as he goes thru chemo.

I thank God for the young fatherís
around this table and the joy that daughter, daughter, daughter and son have brought to their lives.
I thank you for their walk with you
and uphold them in the years that follow.

I thank God for the Father that is missing
from this table and pray that thru your
spirit reaching out to us we might
see your hand at work in bringing
him back to us.
I thank him for the joy that he
has brought to Daughter and us thru
son and son.
I also pray for his father that he might see
your glory and realize a need
for your presence in his life

Our Father which art in Heaven hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors

And lead us not into tempation but deliever us from evil

For thine is the kingdom and power and glory for ever Amen

Carol, thank you for sharing that prayer.

I was quite overwhelmed yesterday by realizing how God has been, in many significant ways, a Father to Richard and has blessed him to be a Father who has the love of Jesus in his heart.

I know I've said this before, but it is absolutely a miracle of God when an entrenched Adventist finds Jesus and embraces the freedom of Sabbath rest in Jesus. It affects every part of one's life--even (maybe espcially!) one's ability to be a parent, spouse, and friend!

I just praise God for saving us from before the creation of the world; for knowing us individually from eternity! What a mystery and a paradox!
