How true about the state of the dead wording. I could never understand how SDA's can read about Paul saying that for him to live is Christ and to die is gain. Yet, how is becoming nothing considered something to gain if all we do is just disolve away.

Is there a target date for the release of the SDA dictionary or glossary? Will it be downloadable from this website? I noticed that former Mormons also have a special dictionary of terms. It is a great idea to define and expose cultic terminology.

No target date yet--it WILL be downloadable from this website, though.

I'll keep you posted--

Dennis, could you post the link for the Mormon dictionary? I'm just very curious as to how close some of their definitions are to ours. Having lived five years in Utah, I do know that some of their beliefs are totally different from SDAs, though.

Praise God...

Jeremy,

When you said that it sounded like Mormonism, you are absolutely right. Here's another link with all of the Mormon beliefs. It's amazing that it could well pass for SDA or it's twin in many many ways.

http://www.watchman.org/watchman.htm

When you get to that site, on the left hand column just scroll down to where it says Mormonism and click on that. It sends chills down my spine with the beliefs of the SDAs and the Mormons.

PraiseGod,

I too lived in Utah for 7 years. Most all my relatives back there are Mormon. :-(

PraiseGod,

Neglected to add that of those relatives in Utah are also my siblings. My paternal side of the family are Mormon, my maternal side Catholic. According to both sides, I'm the wayward child they wish not to acknowledge. I've not seen either side in over a decade.

This is where my tears flow for happy because, you see, Jesus Christ took me in and He is my ALL.

Scripture says He takes in the outcasts and surely I fit that description. Scripture also says He'll use the outcasts. Isn't that exciting! To be used by God Almighty! I'm waiting for Him to use me!

Love to you in Christ.

Denise, I guess thre aren't any family reunions that include both sides of the family. So, how did you end up SDA? It says in the Bible any will be cast aside the cause of Christ. It is a sad reality that many have to be lonly for their loved ones because of religious differences within their families. Having numerous JW in-laws I have seen total exclusion of family members by other family members because of religion.

I second Colleen's statement above, Denise. God is using you and I am thankful He has made you His child. That is awesome because we have an awesome God.

Praisegod,

I can't remember where I saw the glossary of terms in Mormonism to provide a link. It may have been in a book that I recently let a friend read. If I find it again, I will post it.
