Sabra and Susan....where are you? I was out of town for three weeks, but just want you to know I've missed you both. You are both such bright spots on this forum for me!!! Hope you are well. We all love you. Carol

Thank-you for thinking of me. My internet machine wore out and I tossed it into the recycling bin. I have to use the machine at the county library and library patrons are limited to 30 minutes per day on it. Thanks-you, once again for thinking of me.

Glad to hear from you.....you really are missed when we don't hear from you......like I've said before, if we were a graduating class....I'd vote you our "class clown." That's meant as a compliment....you are very funny and lots of fun. Now, where is Sabra????? Anyone know?

Susan, the brochure from It Is Written arrived. It is at least as bad as you described: In the left foreground, Moses is in color in a position of prominence, parchments in the right hand, left hand resting on his cane. In the background on the left, in deep shadows, is Jesus and John the Baptist. Moving to the right are the apostles with tongues of flame on their heads. Next is Martin Luther, then front and center Ellen White followed by (apparently) James White in a printer's apron with his hands on moveable type (I think!). Next is a TV screen showing George Vandeman before Mark Finley baptizing someone. In the right front foreground, partially obscuring the TV screen, is the current speaker/director Shawn Boonstra.

In the center at the top is the ark of the covenant shining in clouds of glory with Jesus dressed in full Aaronic priestly garments including an ephod, his right hand stretching toward the ark, and his left hand reaching to the people below. Rays of light are streaming from the heavenly ark to the inspired ones below.

I guess they justify Jesus being in the shadows on the timeline of inspiration by having Jesus in heaven performing His priestly duties--in Aaronic priestly garb, of course.

It's quite amazing. Praise God that Jesus is really the center of life and reality and truth, and He has a Melchizedek priesthood that can never be transferred to another and can never end. And praise God also that He has had faithful people gifted by the Holy Spirit to declare His witness to the world throughout history.

Yeah, I thought that was a super trippy picture, totally mimminizing the importance od Jesus and totally exaulting the importance of EGW. And, the text under the picture is corny, too. What is an ephod? When I first saw that picture I sat there just transfixed on it for probably at least 15 minutes. It just reeks with subliminal messages. Yeah, and my SDA kin don't think I pay attention to the SDA literature and media! I've got news for them, I pay more close attention to what I hear those Adventists say and print than my SDA kin do.

Hey Carol2,

Not much time to check in. My computer illiterate soon to be ex decided he wanted the computer and I didn't feel like arguing about it so I can only check in at work when I have time.

Doing well though and thinking of you all!

Love ya!
