You cannot imagine how happy I was to discover a new Proclamation! in my mailbox last evening. Super articles! My husband loves the magazine too. And we even get to know why Riverfonz is named Riverfonz!
Gratefully,
Hannah

Hannah,

Thanks for the heads up of a new Proclamation magazine to arrive in our mailbox soon. Sylvia and I always have difficulty in deciding who gets to read it first.

I have renewed respect for Dudley Canright, Adventism's most notable heretic. He singlehandedly broke away from the SDA cult without the support of a FAF. We are most blessed to have many online and other resources to keep us focused on Jesus.

That's right Hannah. Riverfonz, or "Fonzie" is our big black Poodle who is at the groomer as I write this. He is getting ready for his next picture!

Good point about Dudley Canright, Dennis!

The delivery of Proclamation is one thing over which I wish I had control! It's mailed about 30 miles from where we live; this edition was mailed almost two weeks ago--and apparently no one in the Redlands/Riverside/Loma Linda area has receive it yet! There's just no accounting for its delivery schedule!

Colleen,

In my line of work I do a great amount of mailing to a places all over the US. I would assume you are mailing using some sort of discount non-profit bulk permit. There is no deadline for when that type of mail must be delivered. What I have found is that delivery is always at the whim of the individual post offices. If they are in the mood to deliver, they don't. Apologies to any mail carriers out there.

On the other hand, the fact that we get mail everyday is amazing to many outside the US. In Montana there are some towns that only get mail delivered two days a week.

Goldenbear,

As a native North Dakotan, I well remember not receiving mail everyday on the farm. During extreme weather with many feet of snow, I remember a single-engine airplane delivering (dropping) a huge bundle of mail after getting my father's attention as he was doing farm chores. Most years were not that extreme in snowfall, fortunately.

Interesting!
I remember when last issue went out it seemed like I was one of the last people to get it. My postman must have been in a good mood this week! Maybe God wanted us to get it early so it can be prominently "laying around" when my in-laws come to visit.
Discreetly,
Hannah

You're so funny, Hannah! I love your closings.

Goldenbear, you're right about the mailing situation. I've shared before here that our original mailing service told me that each post office can hold this class of mail up to 72 hours before moving it. Some addresses go through 6 to 12 post offices. Multiply that number by the total number of hours they can hold it, and you can see why it sometimes takes SO LONG!

Any chance that Proclamation! will ever be available online as a .pdf file (Adobe) either here or over at Dale Ratzlaff's site?

Proclamation is available now as a .pdf file. We email it to anyone who has requested it. We don't yet have the bandwidth or storage space on the FAF website to offer downloads.

Send your request for Proclamation in .pdf to:
proclamation@gmail.com

Richard,

Thanks for that info and (to echo Dd) for your ministry here.

That's great to know that it's available in .pdf. It can take a couple of weeks or more to get to where I live, plus I could forward such a file as this to other interested parties.
