This morning when my wife and I got up for work we were talking and she asked me again where I went to church last Sabbath. I told her again the truth that I went to the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Riverside, CA. Her first response was that she wasn't happy about that because the SDBs don't follow the Levitical food Laws. I told her I don't HAVE to eat pork and the Pastor of the SDB church where I go is an ex-SDA and told me has has NEVER eaten pork. I also told her the pastor of the SDB church I attend was at one time in charge of Missions in the Middle East(he is originally from Lebanon) for the SDA General Conference and left the SDA church over the IJ(one of the reasons I am leaving also).

I then told her at the SDB church I heard a beautiful sermon that morning about peace and letting Jesus into our hearts and I afterward went to the SDA church and found out the sermon there was about EGW! I told her I go to Church to hear about Jesus, not about EGW.

I then informed her I am going to continue to attend SDB church, probably will convert to be an SDB and she should really see for herself what an improvement it is over the SDA. I told her I am not doing anything wrong I am taking a stand for Christ and the Gospel and I have real, serious problems with EGW as she counterdicts the Bible everywhere and denies the Gospel.

I told her the SDB church is based on nothing but the Bible, no EGW and if she doesn't believe me she should see it for herself and even talk to the pastor. She then wanted to know what their "doctrines" are(SDAs sure are hung up on man-made dogma). I told her the Seventh Day Baptists believe in Bible and Bible only.

I think I got her thinking she didn't argue with me. Looks like she might even be open to going to SDB Church with me sometime in the near future.

I mean she was way cooler about all this than I thought she would be. It even seemed like she might have respected the way I took a stand. I just lovingly told her the truth straight up about where I am at.

Praise, God! I actually see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Reb,
Praise God. I will continue to pray for you and your wife.
I have family in Riverside - 3 sisters and 1 brother. I know it well.

Thanks, Diana.

And it's quite a drive for me to the Seventh Day Baptist church in Riverside(I live in El Monte which is about 50 miles from there) but I am so hungry for the Gospel it is a small sacrifice to make.

The Lord is leading me and He will not fail.
I even told my wife this morning the I feel the Lord is leading me to the Seventh Day Baptist Church and she didn't argue about it.

I just can't be an Adventist anymore. I have such a problem with the way Adventism counterdicts the Bible and denies the Gospel.

I have found the Gospel now and I am NOT giving it up.

Wow Reb, That is quite a drive. I grew up in the Paramount/Bellflower area and went to Lynwood Academy. My Dad's only sister lived in El Monte. I know where it is. God bless you as God leads you to where He wants you. He is providing all your needs.

I have 100% trust in Him. He will not fail.
Praise Him!
