I purchased a number of The Truth about Adventist "Truth" booklets and am in the process of distributing them to approximately 50 Evangelical churches in my city. It has been interesting to talk with pastors as I give them the booklet. One of the things that I am hearing is "Didn't the church change a number of years back and become more Evangelical?" I'm gathering that the word was out that the church came to a crossroads during the Glacier View time but the talk in evangelical circles is that they adopted a more grace-based theology. I am enjoying the opportunity to connect with these churches and get the facts out via this booklet.

That is a wonderful idea! If we could give one to each church in each of our areas just imagine what a witness that would be!

Blessed, I'm so glad you're doing what you're doing with The Truth about Adventist Truth. Indeed, the church has promoted a "corrected" façade, but it is just a mask. Underneath, everything is the same--only the members are even more deeply confused and deceived because so many evangelical phrases have entered the language. It is extremely unlikely that a casual interaction between a true evangelical and an Adventist would yield any "red flags" to the evangelical. Adventists have learned to couch the "same old thing" in new terms that make everyone--even themselves--think they've finally "gotten it", but the reality is that they still don't understand the new birth, and they still believe they would lose their salvation if they left the Sabbath. Nothing has actually changed.

Gilbert, I'm just chuckling over your 1844 calendar...!

Colleen, you can check out the current elapsed time at http://beyondadventism.com/

It is a little Javascript that I customized. :-)

Could you imagine what would happen if it started showing up everywhere? Seventh-day Adventism would surely have a lot of explaining to do ...

It is something I wish Adventists would all be asking their leaders about. I wonder if they will have a 200 year bicentennial celebration?

I bought a bunch or booklets about adventists, the small booklet written by Ratzlaff. I plan to give them to various ministers. Pray for me.

Mwh, Thank you. All I have up at the moment is a "splash page", but I will add back "Ask Ellen" as well as other complimentary material. I started out calling the website EllenWhiteNews.org last year, but then decided this year to take it down, refactor it, and focus more on life after Adventism. I would like to provide a topical directory of links to the many resources available on Internet.

Yesterday at church I gave Dales "Truth" book to some American missionaries that are working in the Ukraine. They said they run into sda's and Mormons frequently, and know they are cultists. I explained that Dales book may help evangelize these people. They seemed glad to get the book!

Gave another of Dales Truth books out today. To a real Baptist minister. Wow what a swell sermon too. That church seems very bright.

Last week it was to an Evangelical minister and missionaries.

There is a ton of churches in my area, so that means many pastors, and many opportunities. Who knows, I might find a church that I really, really, really like :-)

So far, I have had nothing but willing and eager ears from them. I think they appreciate being brought into the light regarding this sect.

Hey, Larry...what a great future lies just ahead! God will guide you to a church.

And yes, I'm sure the pastors do appreciate learning the truth about Adventism. I am convinced that we have a special obligation to speak and/or othewise share what we know as God brings us opportunities. This is one of the ways God redeems our past.
