This difference (between Christianity and the cults) is that SDAism and the rest of the cults teach that the way God saves is to make bad people good, while real Christianity teaches that God makes dead people alive!

Ephesians 2:5 says: "even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—"

Colossians 2:12-13 says: "having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,"

And Romans 8:11 explains it the best: "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."

To Adventists, these verses are just some noise that they don't understand. If they understood that people actually have spirits, they'd understand.

Absolutely!
I came across this years ago, and immediately started to teach it.

Isn't that amazing, Eternal Joy? It never goes away, and even when things are hard and discouraging, the reality of Jesus is always there. I can trust Him even if everything around me seems to be disintegrating. He is faithful!

I was so impressed with the foundational importance of this theme I found room to work it into next week's commentary for day three.

I had never noticed this contrast with the difference between what Adventist teach versus what the Bible teaches.

Thanks Asurprise for sharing this.
