I am sharing a concern about a employee who had the end of her finger sheared off earlier today at the plant where I work. She is a divorced mother of four children and is their sole support. I took her to the hospital which ended up turning my day into a twelve-hour shift. As near as I can tell she does not know the Lord.

I should read here more often - Colleen, prayers for your quick healing. I've also spent many months of my life on crutches so I can relate to that partially - though never had knee surgery. I think I'll stick with the broken leg bones. =)

Phil, praying for your co-worker's needs to be met and that she will seek the Lord.

Another prayer request. The rehab supervisor where I am doing per diem work told her staff today she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She is taking an extended medical leave and going to California for treatment. I told her I would pray for her and I am asking all of you to pray for her also. I am not sure if she is a Christian, so pray that she knows God also. Thanks in advance for your prayers on her behalf.

Lori,

You are also in my prayers. Your "cliff hanger" story has my full attention. I can't wait to learn what God did next in your life.

God bless,

Phil

Phil, thanks for continuing to pray! The warfare has been big over this--the flak is flying...Im sending it out to over 30 adventists. I had to put the brakes on a bit, as I have company, amd I am writing it as I can. God is faithful isn't He!

Lori, I am sorry you are catching flack. Of course we knew you would, but you have not been saying anything offensive in your stories - just the truth, in love. You have been doing a fantastic job. Keep up your courage and honesty.

Hugs, Diana

P.S. Diana, I am praying for your co worker.

Lori, I, too, am sorry that you are catching flack. That is to be expected when one leaves adventism and has a long family history of adventism. Just remember that God is guiding you and will help you get through the flack.
We love you and pray for you.

Thanks all for praying for my co worker.

Hi Lori,

Nobody can ever argue with you about your story. It's a powerful one and God will use it.

By the way, who was it that started all the multiple parts to everything. I can't stand waiting for the next part. I'm kidding Lori. You are an excellent writer!

May the Lord hold you tightly in His arms and strengthen you and give you peace as you tell of how the Lord has worked in your life.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Good things are happening as well as a result. I am about to get to the part where I found FAF! THen things get worse before they get better, but most of you know the story from that point! Sure is making me realize what a great support you all have been. I am about to post a link to this forum in the story. Hopefully I will be able to post my story here soon--although I think it is getting too long :-). In the meantime, I can be reached at 4excape@bellsouth.net if anyone wants a copy. --Im just in an thankful mood tonight for all God has done for me. He is so good. He is so good---did I say that already? Keep praying, it is helping!
Love,
Lori

My marriage continues to be in jeopardy and it appears she is nearing a decision to leave.
I have done everything I can and know to save us, our family our marriage. 30 years.

She says she is unhappy, does not love me anymore, wants another life for herself.

I have tried every approach, prayers upon prayers, experiments, pleading, gifts, chores, humiliation, tears, reasoning, sincerity, desperation and finally all that I can do falls upon a closed heart and deaf ears. I am competing against unknowns.
I have experienced anguish I did not know I was vunerable to. My health has been hammered down from months of this angst and outright rejection ,cruel words and sorrow.

I have tried to back off, give space, let things alone. Even that does not work, she comes at me when she has had a few drinks and hammers me while I am doing the dishes. The next morning she backs off. Says she is sorry she hurt me last night. But lately as in this morning, she tells me the things no man wants to hear. I don't love you anymore.
There is no figuring this out. It is beyond my control.
I am at a crossroads now. I don't know how or what anymore.
People go through this all the time. I am not unique. But that does not sooth my anguish, the loss the rejection and emptiness.
I'm hurting.

What do I do ?

I ask for prayers and please excuse my weakness.
I am trying to be a man about this.

Jim, I am so sorry, and I completely relate. I may not be the best one to encourage you, as my marriage ended in divorce almost 2 years ago. (after 20 years). However, I know the heartbreak of rejection, and the indescribable pain of a marriage as it breaks up.
I also know the incredible presence of Jesus during that time. I know that God can hold you close through this. I know that I pray more than ever for people in troubled marriages, becuase I know the other side.

I have seen many marriages miraculousy saved and revived. Its not over until it is over. Keep praying. A "manly" thing to do is to stand up and fight for a marriage. You are called to be the head of your household, sounds like you are doing that.
Praying that God will pour His Spirit out on you during this time, and direct your path.

Jim;
I am so very sorry for the pain you are living with. While I am not equipped to advise you, please know that you are, and will continue in my prayers.

Blessings,
Toria
