Toria, I am sorry, but I know that God is giving you His peace. As Phil said, we love you dearly here. I continue to pray for you and also for your husband. You are loved.

Thanks again guys,
I really am ok. I think part of the reason for my mental and emotional peace is God answering prayer.
When I was in treatments the first time, my DIL was pregnant with twins. My most sincere prayer was that I would live long enough to see them born and to hold them even once.
Last week they graduated from kindergarten. They are 5 years old now.
Yes Phil, that is one of them in the photo. I was doing a trial to see how to get a photo on facebook, and that was the first one to come up. When I have time I will upload more photos.
This morning there were 10 emails of folks here adding me as friends. How wonderful it was to 'see' you all. And btw, thanks for being my friend.

His richest blessings on all of you.

Dear Toria,

May God hold you and those who love you tightly
during this time. It's so easy to see from your testimony that your strength and hope are in Christ alone.

You have no idea how many people love you as our sister in Christ - even though we haven't met in person yet.

You and your family are in my prayers.

Joyfulheart

Toria,
I too am praying for you. I know you don't know me as I post very rarely but I wanted to share with you about my port as it has been a tremendous blessing.
Have you considered having the port in your arm rather than the chest? Mine is about one inch below the elbow, the tube still goes all the way into the subclavian. Access is so much easier and painless in the arm as the ulna supports the port better than the ribs do. Another plus is that there is less risk of collapsing the lung. They put mine in under anesthesia and the doctor used a fluoroscope to make sure it went into the subclavian. I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you.
Praying for you

Jeannette;
Thank you so much. I did not know there was an option. All the others I've seen and talked to with the port had them in the chest. When my oncologist said that is where they would put mine I did not even question.
When I return to the clinic, you can be sure I will have questions. Also I will do some research on the web before then.
Again, thank you for this information. I am so glad you shared.
Sounds like you have been/are experiencing similar circumstances as mine. I will put you on my prayer list, and pray for you as well.

Blessings,
Toria

Colleen and Diana,
thank you for your prayers, I really appreciate it.
God is so awesome, with the remicade infusions I have been in remission from Crohn's almost 4 years. I am so grateful for his blessings.

Toria,
Thanks for your prayers.
I don't know if you will find much information about the pass port in the arm, I couldn't find any when I had mine done about 3 years ago. Whenever I go for a port flush or to get my remicade the nurses always comment about the location and call new staff member to see it. They love it because it is easy to see, feel and access.
God bless,
Jeannette

Good morning,
I am asking for prayer that I may get over this bronchitus infection.
I finished a round of antibiotics but have relapsed again, another fever.
I am at work. I have a Dr. Appointment today.

I don't know what exactly to blame. I can tell you this. Stress makes you sick. My immune system just keeps failing. 7 weeks of this infection already.
I can't even cut my grass.

I don't wish to burden folks. Everyone has problems. I am no exception.

I said I would lighten up this week. I am working on that.

Thank You, Everyone.,

Jim,

We are here to support each other in every way possible. Since you alluded to stress as being a possible root cause to your bronchitis infection, I will pray in this regard for your recovery. Once having been separated for over two years from my wife with no idea how things were going to turn out, I understand the stress you are under.

Interestingly enough, my wife's health is such, that I have been taking her to a series of doctors since January First, that has occupied most of my free time and the company has allowed me to shift my days off to accommodate her needs. In fact, things have worked out so well, only God could have arranged it.

God is clearly in control of each of our lives and our part is simply to trust him and give him all the praise. Even in hard times, God is good.

Praying brother,

Phil

Jim, Like Phil I will pray that God show you how to handle the stress in your life and that He heal you. Our awesome God loves you so much, as well as your family. Trust and have faith in Him.

I got to see the doctor on a spur of the moment appointment. I am Thankful for that.

In the waiting room, there were 3 people in wheels chairs. A man tending his elderly mother, another was a man with no legs, possibly a vet, and the third wheel chair a mother with a teenage daughter with some physical muscle wasting disease.
I wonder how the doctor puts up with it all.
