I've never posted here before, but I have a prayer request. I posted over on Members that a member from my church finally called after 5 months. I called him back and told him that Glenn and I are not coming back to church and if he wanted to know the reasons, my husband and I would love to sit with him and his wife to tell him why we are not coming back. He said he would be interested in talking to us. I was hoping to have met by tomorrow (Friday), but he said Sunday was better. Yuk. That means they will be discussing us at SS. He still hasn't called me back to confirm. I ask for prayeers that the Holy Spirit direct this meeting, and that if He wants it to be so, He will make it happen, regardless of how satan will try to discourage it or regardless of how the SDA members will pray this week in church.

Thanks,
Michele

Please pray for me that I will be listening to the Holy Spirit when I talk to my SDA family while they are visiting. It seems so easy to get the emphasis off the truly important topic, Jesus, and onto the lesser ones, e.g. vegetarianism, sabbath. I know in myself I can do or say nothing without His leading that will be beneficial or plant a seed.

Michele and Peperpat, I'm praying that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and His wisdom, that you will have peace, and that you will experience God holding your hearts and protecting you as a Father would. I pray that if God wants this meeting, Michele, He will bring it to pass and prepare you and your husband. If not His will, I pray that He will prevent it.

HI Patti! Great to see you again here. I was thinking of you recently! Your family is still on my prayer list. I will be remembering you this weekend especially. You have a good focus and knowing you can't do it on your own.

Michele - butterflies? ha. I got them just reading that!! But God will give you strength and words. I agree with Colleen - praying for His will. I'll remember you too - keep us posted!

Hi Patti and Michele,

I'm praying for both of you and your spouses that you will be full of the Holy Spirit and that you will be strong, powerful witnesses of what Jesus has done in your lives. May your guests come away wanting what you have and may God be glorified in what happens.

Hello everyone,

My sweet, wonderful, amazing 16-year old dog Polly died this afternoon. :-( :-(

It's still so hard for it to sink in--but she certainly lived a long life.

I just knew the tears would flow seeing her picture here in the preview window to the left.... :-(

Patti and Michele, am praying for both of you. God is faithful and will lead you to say the right things, at the right time.

Let the love of Jesus, and your new found assurance shine through, and even if they disagree on your theology....they will see something new and appealing that they don't have.

Jeremy;
I am so sorry. I also know how much it hurts. I lost one of mine over a year ago, and I still miss her. Take comfort that she had a good life with someone who loved and cared for her.

Jeremy,

My heart goes out to you in the loss of your dog, dogs have a way of touching us where no one else can.

My neighbors two dogs are getting so old it is painful for them to walk over to me for a pat on the head and and a scratch behind the ears, I know that it won't be long for them, it bothers me to see them walk in such pain.
I just lost my dog recently and I am ready to get another one now.

So all I can say to your dog is "Sleep on and take your rest old friend".

We love you Jeremy.

Jeremy, I have had too many dog and cat companions die over the years. I have resolved that either God will give me something much better in the kingdom, or He will let me ask for exact duplicates, but only make them each 300 pounds big instead of their original weights. I can hardly wait, sniff sniff.

We had to put a large mixed breed down last March. She was only 7 years old, weighed 110 at her finest. She was gorgeous and a comedian who could read me like a cheap book. She was wonderful, but her lungs were filled with cancer. I just do not understand it, shed many tears over her. She was our baby!

We have 5 large dogs left. 5 kitties too. I know their times are coming too, someday. We love 'em while we can.

You have my sympathies also. I still miss the dog I grew up with and he's been gone for years.
