The initial beginning of our FAF Chapter started as a "branch Sabbath School" known as New Creation on the campus of Union College about five years ago. Several couples and singles led out in this contemporary-style endeavor to reach the unchurched and to reclaim former and inactive Seventh-day Adventists in the Lincoln community. "We didn't reach many unchurched," reports Chris Lee, "but we were successful at attracting SDAs who were searching for something more or who had been away from church for awhile." The Holy Spirit mightily moved upon this group that now comprises the core of our seventeen-member Chapter.

The Saturday night worship service at the Lincoln Berean Church has been an major catalyst in this remarkable transformation. The Berean Church, with about 4,000 worshippers every weekend, is the largest Bible teaching church in Lincoln. Bryan Clark, the senior pastor, has repeatedly met with our group as they were transitioning out of Adventism. His personal involvement with these bewildered, inquiring Adventists became an eye-opening experience as they studied the book of Galatians together.

Currently, a curriculum is being prepared for a new class to be offered by the Berean Church for inquiring Adventists. Dale Ratzlaff has generously donated several of his books to Pastor Clark recently. Also, we have an email system for communication that works very effectively. Many details are still being considered at this stage (i.e., possible meeting times, group name, contact person, phone number, and email address, etc.).

A recent highlight for our group was the powerful testimony presented by Ane and Greg Edwards at the four Easter services held at the Berean Church. Their inspiring testimony set the tone for the entire service. Indeed, I sense God's presence among us. Please remember us in your prayers as we continue to minister to one another and to the Lincoln Adventist community.

It's great to see an FAF forming in another Adventist ghetto. We are praying for you and Chris and your group, Dennis.

God bless you - Lincoln's SDA ghetto is a needy mission field if there ever was one!

If Lincoln is like Takoma Park, MD or Loma Linda, CA it is a needy mission field. God bless you and your work Dennis and Chris and your whole group. God is calling His sheep and His sheep are hearing His voice and responding to it. Praise God. You are so awesome.

Praise God! Lord, use them to release Your children from captivity! In Jesus' name, hallelujah and amen!
