A short series of topical presentations designed for former and or questioning Adventists.
(Our next Bible study will begin at the conclusion of this series.)

August 20: Inspiration of the Bible. Is the Bible inspired and without error? Many former Adventists remember how the Bible's inerrancy was refuted within Adventism. Join us as Stanford Shu teaches us about the absolute infallibility of Scripture. Stanford is involved with METS (Medical Evangelism Teaching Strategy) and actively shares his faith with medical students at Loma Linda University. Stanford is married to former Adventist Esther Shu.

August 27: Gospel Night. Many Christians lack confidence in sharing the gospel with their family and friends, yet this is one of the greatest commands Jesus gave us. It is also one of the most joyous to fulfill. Tami Chester and Sondra Hughes have just returned from evangelism training with Harvest Crusade. They participated in the Crusade as field workers. Between Tami's enthusiasm and Sondra's passion for God, you will come away from this evening feeling more confidant about sharing the gospel.

September 3: Family night at FAF. Bring some food, a blanket, a pillow and the kids as we watch "The Visual Bible: The Gospel of Matthew," produced by Visual International. This dramatic presentation of Jesus' life uses only the NIV text of Matthew. It is profoundly moving; you will never read the book of Matthew the same way again. Because of its length, it will start at 6 PM. We will meet in the Ministry Center; the room number will be announced. Don't miss it!

September 10: Questions on Doctrine. Many Adventists in transition have questions about doctrine. Join us as Trinity's senior pastor, Gary Inrig, teaches us what the Bible says about immortality of the soul and hell.

To Be Determined: Wounds of Adventism. Many of us come from families which were not places of grace. We may have been victims of conditional love, emotional abuse or sexual abuse. Many of us have trouble trusting that God is not like our parents or the SDA pastor. Join us as a licensed therapist talks about dealing with the scars of family resistance, spiritual abuse, cult recovery, etc.

September 24: The Persecuted Church: (No, this is not the Adventist church!) Join us as former missionary Phyllis Berry tells us about the work of Christ going on in other parts of the world. Our own Tami Chester has become a friend of Phyllis and her own faith has been strengthened as she has gotten to know this inspiring woman.
