Hi Everyone! I've noticed that my SDA family members seem to spend most of their time studying Revelation and the book of Daniel re: end-time events. They rarely talk about the Gospel. When I talk about how we must tell the world about Jesus every chance we get, they agree but there is no discussion. It appears as though they feel more of a need to prepare for/tell others about how we're in the last days, but no real emphasis of wanting to see the lost come to a saving faith in Jesus. Is this typical of SDA, as well, or am I misreading something? Thanks for your help! I'm still trying to wrap my brain around SDAism!

Yes, this is typical - at least in my experience. Everything in the news could be an omen that the Sunday laws are coming --- persecution would soon begin.

We or at least I would become hyper vigilant and wonder if I would stand up to the pressure to renounce the Sabbath in those end times.

Knowing Jesus ... or coming to saving faith was secondary or non-existence to standing up for the Sabbath.

Hope that helps.

They feel that the gospel has already gone out so all they need to focus on is end time events and the Sabbath. They "interpret" Bible verses to "say" that God wants the world to embrace the Sabbath and that will supposedly be the end times test to determine who's on God's side and who isn't. They don't have any idea that they have what the Bible calls: "another gospel" and "another Jesus." (2nd Corinthians 11:4 & Galatians 1:8-9.)
