Check out this link. I have seen a video online exposing this stuff too, but it is long and difficult to get through. This is a blog post where these photos are posted as well as other evidence of the Freemason connection to Adventism. I was a fifth generation SDA and a relative on my mother's side of the family (Farley) who was a high ranking freemason was responsible for establishing the SDA church and private school in a rural town in Main. He funded and managed it. My 2nd cousin, Dennis Farley, is an EGW historian and when my mom asked him about the Freemason connection last year, that was the last time she heard from him. Before that he was in contact with her regularly trying to bring her back into Adventism. I believe the connection is very real. But I'm interested in hearing what you all think. Very interesting info. Just another layer of darkness coming into the light. My SDA minister grandfather also belonged to the Freemasons and at his death my mother inherited his gold Freemason ring. She didn't want it and gave it to me... YIKES! I recall it had some kind of compass-looking picture on the top. Anyway, I didn't feel comfortable having it in my home at all, so I sold it for the value of the gold. Anyway, my grandfather worked as an active SDA minister throughout his entire life... | ||

My uncle, also SDA was a Freemason. He had a dual SDA /Freemason funeral. At the funeral the Mason Guy got up And said Uncle ---- was now in the lodge in the sky. I busted up laughing and my mom told me to leave , go sit in the car. I think i was 16. | ||

Wow, Free2dance, that site does sum up the gist of the SDA information in the longer video that I saw. Very, very interesting. That picture with the tree with the all-seeing eye hangs in the James White Library at Andrews University. It's so interesting that the LLU Archives have changed the attribution line from "conceived by James and Ellen White about 1874 to attributing it to W Kellogg in 1873. The Andrews display named the Whites when I saw it. Adventism is truly dark at the core... Colleen | ||

Oh, one more thing Richard noticed: that all-seeing eye picture (which was revised in a subsequent two paintings that eventually eliminated the eye and put the cross—with Jesus still on it—in the center of the picture) was actually commissioned and painted in 1873 or 1874—about ten years after the Adventist Church was officially organized. In other words, Adventists can't say the picture pre-dated the actual Adventist Church. It is an example of Adventist art. Colleen | ||

Free2dance, thank you for posting the link. The whole thing is extremely interesting and socking. Lots of well documented facts that cannot be ignored anymore. No wonder there is been so much doctrinal confusion in the SDA church from the very beginning. The more you look at it, the darker it gets. Hopefully this info can help many of those who are still inside to find their way out. | ||

Byfaith, Welcome aboard. Since I’m the first to greet you let me just say that you have a very nice User Name. It certainly does make a statement. Strangely years ago I shared an office with two other instructors. One was an SDA and the other was a Mason. For some reason the Adventist and I got along very well even though I was decidedly anti-Adventist in doctrine. The Mason, on the other hand, always had a ‘superior’ way about him whenever we would talk. That was all of over twenty-five years ago. The Adventist guy has since left and joined an evangelical fellowship. It would seem from my limited experience that it is even harder for a Mason to discover the real gospel than for an Adventist. Thank you guys for the welcome. Philharris, I agree with you. I have seen many SDA's crossing the line to the real gospel but so far I haven't heard much about Masons doing the same thing. Perhaps there are... What I have learned is that there are Masons and Rosicrucians that like to secretly infiltrate evangelical groups to do their job. In fact, many religious cults have been born from masonic movements. Some examples could be (JW's, Mormons, SDAs and others). I find very interesting the fact that they all have many things in common. | ||

Welcome, Byfaith! I too love your name. ;) Have you left Adventism or are you still questioning and investigating? So good to have you here! Phil, I have been very surprised by how many Former SDA's have had experiences with Freemasons in the church. One man who recently joined our local fellowship shared a story of being in an SDA church that was owned by the Freemason's in their town. He told of a processional march down the main aisle with the Freemason's in their full dress. There was also a group of female Mason's, not sure what they called themselves. He told of the pastor giving them money during a church service! | ||

Thank you Free2dance. I was born and raised in Adventism. My Dad was a minister and secretary of a SDA conference in Hispanic America. There were many doctrines that always bothered me but it wasn't until five years ago when I decided to do something bold and that's when I hit the wall. Me and a couple of friends, all sons of SDA ministers, decided to challenge with the Bible some of the SDA doctrines. What we found was so terrible that we all ended up presenting our voluntary letters of resignation to our respective churches. I felt so betrayed that I couldn't even sleep well for months. One year after that my wife also accepted the challenge and sat down to do the same thing. She also ended up resigning. We lost many old friends and things got really weird with our families but now that's all in the past. We're really happy following Jesus Christ in Freedom and in Spirit without having to submit our judgment to man-made institutions. Free2dance, they are doing well in the faith. Our lives where completely change after this experience. We keep in touch almost on daily bases sharing Jesus sometimes by phone, email or text. I have met others that have gone through similar experiences. Lately, for some reason, many of these doctrinal fallacies are being exposed online in a way that has no precedent.
