Hay yall, I have a son who is out of state who has been listening to Adventist preachers.
May you all call write down a list with just the short of it.
Example
They believe in soul sleep
They believe in an investigative judgement
And so on.
Thanks
I'm sicker than a dog with flu right now, and my brain, such as it is, is shooting blanks.

Try this. It's not a list but an excellent short article.

That's a great link, Leifl! Thanks so much for sharing it. I wish I had had access to this kind of information 30 years ago, BEFORE I married my SDA husband. Don't get me wrong...he's a very good man. However, he's entrenched in Adventism so deeply that all my attempts to convince him otherwise have fallen on deaf ears.

River,

I'll pray for your son that God will rescue him from deception. I hope you're feeling better now.

When my mother (former Adventist) died, few of her/our evangelical friends were at the funeral. Lots of Adventists showed up, and it was on a Saturday afternoon.

I appreciated their reaching out, even if I disagree strongly; there are lots of good people among them.

River,

Check out Billy Crone on You Tube. He has a series called "World Religions, Cults and the Occult". He takes very detailed looks into Mormonism, JW's, Catholicism and Adventism. He does a great job breaking them down. He has done his homework. Perhaps you could pass this on to your son. I think he will have his eyes opened!

Honestwitness,

I wish the internet and you tube were available back in 1976. Oh well. At least we can warn others now.

I think these resources are causing a lot of damage to groups like SDA, Mormon, etc.

When I was ready to respond to the biblical gospel in those years I learned what I needed to know simply through the testimony of godly brothers and sisters in Christ, Holy Spirit led bible study and going to the public library for research. It may have been harder then but I did learn the truth.

Leifl: Thanks so much for posting the above Link for Grace Church Audio + Article. I so enjoyed listening to Phil Johnson's excellent presentation & found it to be very easy to understand.

I was able to warn him away. I think that if there is a gate into Adventism for those who have not been born into it, it would be Sabbath observance.
That would be the easiest thing to get them to start 'doing'and by the time they do that, Adventism has got a foothold.

So glad to hear that he has been warned. It is so sad that there are so many charismatic (not referring to Holy Spirit led but in terms of charisma) SDA radio, podcast, and TV personalities that suck people in. But also so glad ministries like FAF/LAM are sounding the alarm against false doctrines

Adventism is far darker, as all of us here have discovered, underneath the surface than it appears. When we start tracing our Adventist beliefs to see where they "go", it's totally unchristian and unbiblical.

It's shocking to begin to discover these realities.
