Well, I for one, find it 'underhanded' that those who left an email address were not contacted, and those of us who did not leave an address were contacted. Is that how I'm reading the general consensus above? Why not just contact the people who open that door for you, rather than invade someone's system behind the scenes and steal an address you were not invited to have?

But I do know who we are talking about....

Don't remember if I left an email address on there, and I have not heard from them.

Why are we taking for granted that the people from the survey are the same people from the link?

River, instead of selling that property, why don't you build a duplex and you can live in one side and I in the other? Or we can rent it to anyone here who wants to spend a nice vacation.

haha!

... but seriously. I think that they want the survey to show people left because of "negative experiences" because they want to pass the buck on their members. Since their "doctrine couldn't possibly be wrong", it has to be a "people" problem. I can see all the books coming out now... "Keeping our SDA members" for Dummies. Bright yellow would work! :-)

Seriously folks, they are working and sweating for the flesh, for a Jesus plus gospel, and they are wondering why it's not working.

They are looking out there and asking the question, 'why is our message not working?' If they went to Galatians they would find out why its not working.

If we veer away from the word the same thing will happen, it's salvation by faith alone in Jesus alone. I don't have to take a survey on that.

I feel that God calls me to prayer at times like this . . . I pray that God will open the eyes and hearts of those who are reading the answers to the questionnaires.

May they be lead by the Holy Spirit to study and search their Bibles for a clearer view of who God is and what He has done for them. My prayer is that those who left their reasons with a spirit of love will stir up questions and a desire to search out answers under the direction of the Spirit of God.

Our God knows the hearts of each person involved, those who put together the survey and those of us who were invited to respond. Each of us is different and at a different place in our relationship with HIM. He is in control and will never cease to love and seek His own.

A question I constantly ask myself is, "Richard is your God able to love and seek the lost, even when they may not know they are lost? Richard are you willing to give up self and allow me to do my work in "their" hearts, you don't need to prove yourself "right" just remember I died for everyone not just you. And oh yes, your job description is not "accuser of the brethren" that is the work of the Holy Spirit"

Seekr777 Richard<
Thanks for the compassionate reminder, that WE are not the judge, nor the prosecutor, nor the jury! We are observers--witnesses--and we do have a duty to tell the truth as we know it. Love reaches places judgmentalism can't! Our place is to pray for those still in darkness, and to bear witness to the salvation God offers to every human on earth. As witnesses to His grace to us, we can share the good news!

Richard,

I think you got a little mixed up there, I believe "Accuser of the brethren" had the descriptive title of the devil in the new testament.

Are you sure you want to leave that as the Holy Spirits work?
Just helping you out there old bean! (:

I know you'd do the same for me ifin' you ever came down to possum jaw. :-)

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." Rev. 12:10-12.

Another misconception (probably not uncommon in SDA circles) refuted! Good, River!
