There is much going on in my life right now...much stress...personal, family, health, work...ect.

Reading Romans Eight I came to this verse and the peace of God came over me:

quote:

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Rom. 8:14 ESV

This whole chapter is my favorite place to turn to in Scripture. Today, this one verse seemed to be special and I just wanted to share it before heading out to work.

Blessings to all you good folks on the forum. So exciting to meet so many new members.

Thank you, Phil, I will ask God to help you and take care of you in what you're going through. Sometimes God takes us through a wilderness, where we learn we have nothing in ourselves at all to rely on and everything to help us through comes only from Him...but He did tell us in His word to bear each other's burdens. (I am so thankful for the support and love of the people in this forum--and that we can ask questions and clarify--it takes alot for me to "un-learn" many things that I find I have so deepley ingrained.)

I digress. Anyway, Phil, I have also been going through very difficult stuff since the end of May--things that have broken my heart to the core and knocked me down, so I will pray for you! When we have nowhere else to go, God gets our attention on certain things--more prayer, utter dependence on Him, HUMILITY (I have pride where I didn't even realize it! Have you ever wondered if you can be proud of being humble?)

God bless you and Jan and every single person on this forum.

Hi Phil,

Life is quite a challenge for me as well right now. I have been dwelling on this one:

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Phl 4:5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord [is] at hand.

Phl 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Phl 4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God bless you as you seek the Lord

Nowisee,

I am in the same boat, but really leaning on God. He is where our help comes from.
