I have a CD that I made up with many of my favorite songs on it. That song is one of them.I sort of took my all time favorites and put them on one CD and have it in my truck.

I have a great time as I drive and listen to those songs of praise.

I don't know what other people think as I go down the road singing along with them. I sometimes get a little too happy and start waving my arms around. Ha!

River,

Sorry, I don't know how to solve your technical problem. It must be very frustrating to have a sound problem with a new computer system. Perhaps contacting the youtube assistance link would be helpful if you can find one.

Diana,

Admittedly, that song brings tears to my eyes as well. In fact, I was teary-eyed when I posted the link. It well reflects our past and current experience--a powerful former Adventist testimony in song. Truly, music is a wonderful language, and I am pleased to know that the message of this song blessed your soul. If you ever get a chance to attend a Gaither concert in your area, please make arrangements to attend. You can check their concert schedule by logging unto their website (www.gaither.com).

Tis frustrating indeed Bro. Dennis.

I found the problem after an hour and a half of chasing software problems.

Would you believe the problem was actually a setting in the volume control?

If the balance control is set to center like it ought to be, no sound on youtube, I slid the control off center and walluuua, sound.

Anyhow.. I finally got to view the video you pointed to. Loved it.

Dennis, I looked at their schedule and they only come west as far as Oklahoma, never to Nevada. Maybe some day!!
I will have to buy some of their music.

I think the Gaithers just concluded a series of concerts in the West and Northwest. Perhaps they will again come further west the following year. They also have annual cruises--usually to Alaska from Seattle during the summer months. These tend to be rather pricey.

Not surprising to me the Gaithers have probably done more to bring Christians of various faiths closer together than any other, yet they are blasted by various groups and individuals with accusations of being false teachers and servants of the devil. I don't guess some would be happy if they were hung with a new rope.

Those homecoming series are a gathering of Christian singers from different denominations who put aside their differences to sing songs of praise and worship and to lift up the savior.

In that group are Charismatics such as the Goodmans or were until they both John and Vestal Goodman went on the be with the Lord.
Those songs have blessed people from all walks of life and they will keep blessing people long after they are gone.
Thats what happens when people get together who truly love the Lord and lift up his name.
Its about Jesus and his saving grace and when he is lifted up he will draw all men unto him just as he said.

There are people who claim to know the Bible that will even attack that claiming its un-scriptural and heretical.

Really when they get together and begin to lift up Jesus in such a manner you cease to care if a quarter of them is Pentecostal and the other quarters Baptist and what have you. It seem to me they made it work and in doing so bless millions with their songs of praise and grace.

Me, I think it is of God, his way to bring Christians together in love for one another and for Christ.

I understand that Wintley Phipps, an SDA minister from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, sang with the Billy Graham crusades at one time. I do not know if he remembers me, but I knew him when he was 16 there in Montreal. I knew his father also as he cleaned cars in the garage at the apartments where my husband and I lived.

I agree that music is very powerful to bring Christians of all denominations together.

My Presbyterian church is having a Christmas Eve service with a cantata by our choir. My SDA husband plans to attend, along with three friends from his SDA church.

I remember a lot of their music being in the SDA hymnal-didn't mean anything to me then.

Now I can't watch one of their concerts without balling my eyes out.
