Hi everyone,

I thought I'd share a new "Sabbath-rest" picture with you all...

http://art-for-jesus.blogspot.com/2009/01/come-rest.html

It's very simple, but it's deep! (Complete pun intended!)

Bless you in Jesus!
Ramone

P.S. And have a blessed-in-His-rest 2009!

That is a very peaceful scene. You can imagine just drifting around on a little boat out there!

:-) I pictured lying on my back in the waves. Very peaceful!

I like the sound of water on the shore. It is very peaceful to me. Like Helovesme2, I can imagine myself on my back in the waves and being gently rocked.

Wonderful imagery, Ramone. I especially like the contrast between insurance and assurance. Insurance is a cautious wager against fate, while Assurance is wholly entrusting our fate to His promises.

Ramone, thank you. I also like the contrast between assurance and insurance. I like what you "see".

Ramone,

Thank you for sharing your art. This rest that you speak of and demonstrate in terms of a sea of water.

The way I see this picture is that the more we allow the Spirit of God into our lives the deeper becomes that rest.
The lighter areas are when we do not let him have full sway in our moments of time, the darker areas are when we fully yield to him.

There are deeper depths that we can attain in Gods Holy Spirit.

Some wade out ankle deep, some wade out up to their knees and some allow god to take them out into the great depths where the great stillness is.
He will take us there if we are willing to trust.

Some of us are like children playing at the edge of the sea, we run out and as soon as the waves touch our feet we run back to the shore and we do this again and again for a lifetime, never coming to know the depths of his rest.

Some try to earn his rest and cannot, they spend their lives trying to get to the waters edge, but like a mirage you take a step of works and the sea backs up a step, you take a step forward and it backs up an equal and exact amount.

Which one of these will you be? Which one will I be?

That was beautiful Ramone.
That really spoke to me and I got it and it was an awsome feeling!
Thank you for sharing.
