A few months ago a friend of mine at the Hollywood SDA church asked me if I could share some art for their "Credo" show, which was something they were doing after exploring the Apostles' Creed. I prayed and took it as an opportunity to share the gospel to people who are truly trying to focus on it but are still not yet able to let go of the "family altar", so to speak.

Here are the four pictures I shared with an afterword: http://art-for-jesus.blogspot.com/2008/11/for-apostles-creed.html

Two of the pictures on that link (in the middle) some of you may have seen before. However the other two (on the ends) are new and came as I prayed about what to share. I just wrote up the interpretations to them today:

"Reduced" - http://art-for-jesus.blogspot.com/2008/11/reduced.html

"Father" - http://art-for-jesus.blogspot.com/2008/11/father.html

Bless you in Jesus! And may He use whatever I've shared and all our prayers to bless and lift people there (and everywhere) out of confusion and fear and into rest in Him alone!

In Jesus,

Ramone, as always your art has so much meaning in it. The Apostles Creed is all about Jesus and nothing else.

Thanks! Just renamed the second picture, "Father's Exchange". Same link as earlier, though.

Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful, Ramone, both the pictures and the words. You never cease to amaze me. I look forward to sharing heaven with you.

Raomone,

I love those pics. The reduced one is my favorite. That is exactly how I felt coming out of Adventism. What and awsome Pic. Do you sell these pics?

Yes, I also really identified with "Reduced". Your commentary, Ramone, is so powerful. You're totally right about the repentance that has been missing since 1843—and that our own repentance from Adventism involves repenting of participating in the corporate deception.

I'm not articulating my sense about this very well...I just really resonated with that picture. Thank you, Ramone.

Thanks everyone! Paul, yes, I do. Click the link on the left side of the page where it says "order".

Colleen, the point about the "repentance" that was avoided since 1843/44 is something I learned after seeing & making this picture: http://sogentlybroken.blogspot.com/2008/09/faith-or-fear.html

Most of my explanation is in the text Cherry put with it, but I might write up some more someday.

It's interesting because it's like a sort of hereditary thing passed down, you know? The first "fathers" avoided repenting, and have passed that "heritage" down the line. Each of us then comes to a point when the CROSS is put before us, and it stands in stark contrast to the old "numbers" on the wall (or all the heavy books we've had to tote around -- which is what the "numbers" turned into!).

Blessings in Jesus!

HW - thank you! God is awesome. If you ever get a chance, look at John Eldredge's book "Desire" and read how he lays out life in the future world. The phrase that sticks out in my mind is that we will not be held back anymore, but will "hit our stride". I don't know exactly what we'll all look like, but I'll get to see all the cool things in you & everybody here let loose!

This is me in the future, hehe: http://art-for-jesus.blogspot.com/2008/09/my-forever.html
