Every Wednesdy evening I go to church and am studying the book of 1 Thessalonians. The last questions the pastor asked before we left was, "Who is Jesus to you?".

I asked him at the first lesson if he knew about adventism and he said yes. As I was getting dressed to leave tonight I was impressed to take him Dale's book about the Cultic Doctrine of SDAs. I did. The pastor liked it and said he really did not know much about adventism, but did know it had cult like beliefs. He said he would read it. So I thank God for prompting me. God, You are awesome.

Jesus is Life
by Steven Curtis Chapman

Ladies and Gentleman, children of all ages
Anyone listening, I've got an announcement to make
There's been some confusion about a certain someone
A lot of discussion and a lot of debate
So if I may take just a moment to say who Jesus is to me

Jesus is life, yeah, oh, oh, oh
Jesus is life, yeah, oh, oh, oh
The air I'm breathing
Why my heart is beating
Everything I'm needing
Jesus is life

Imagine the deepest sea without a drop of water
An infinite galaxy without even one single star
That's how I would be, so absolutely empty
Without Jesus' life in me there'd be no life at all
More than just a part, He's the very heart of everything I am

This is my position concerning my condition
This is my position concerning my condition
This is my position, my life by definition

Jesus is life
Jesus is life
Jesus is life
Jesus is life

Everything to Me
by Charlie Dodrill

You are Adonai, Abba, Glorified, God Most High.
You're the Holy One, Heaven's Son, Servant King.
You the Son of Man, Great I AM, You're the
Promise of Promised Land.
You're the end of all sin. Let freedom ring!
You are everything to me.

Great thread!

To me, Jesus is the center of all reality and life. He is the ground of Being and the Source of hope, grace, and truth.

Jesus is my life.

Following in Brent's steps:

JESUS IS ALL THE WORLD TO ME
by Mrs. Elvina Hall, 1865

Jesus is all the world to me, my life, my joy, my all;
He is my strength from day to day, without Him I would fall.
When I am sad, to Him I go, no other one can cheer me so;
When I am sad, He makes me glad, He's my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, my Friend in trials sore;
I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them over and o'er.
He sends the sunshine and the rain, He sends the harvest's golden grain;
Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, He's my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, and true to Him I'll be;
O how could I this Friend deny, when He's so true to me?
Following Him I know I'm right, He watches o'er me day and night;
Following Him by day and night, He's my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better Friend;
I trust Him now, I'll trust Him when life's fleeting days shall end.
Beautiful life with such a Friend, beautiful life that has no end;
Eternal life, eternal joy, He's my Friend.

I Stand In Awe

Oh Lord, my heart overflows - with praises to You.
It’s just so awesome - the things that You do.
Nothing exists - without Your masterful design.
And all of Your plans - are perfect and fine.
You made everything - in this whole universe
You are most worthy - of my praise in this verse.
You made mankind - and placed us on earth
and you blessed each one of us - even before our birth.
You’ve counted the stars - and each grain of sand.
You hold the universe - in the palm of Your hand.
Oh, Lord I lift my voice - in poetic praise
and I’ll shout hosanna - for the rest of my days.
Lord, You made the green meadows - where animals graze.
And You made beautiful sunsets - on which to gaze.
You sprinkle pretty frost - on the meadow grass
it sparkles like diamonds - or expensive cut glass.
You can order the snowflakes - either day or night
to cover the hillsides - with a blanket of white.
You designed big rivers - to go rolling by
They flow continuously - but they never go dry.
I marvel at the sky - and Your clouds filled with rain
as I watch the rain drops - on my window pane.
Then when lightening flashes - putting darkness asunder
I praise Your Name - when I hear Your mighty thunder,
for the whole sky lights up - as though it were day
While I stand in awe - and in helpless dismay.
What a mighty God - what stupendous power
Lord, you’re in control - every moment, every hour.
You control the universe - with Your mighty hand
All the elements obey - Your every command.

Each time I’m in need - I call on Your Name
and You touch me in a way - that I’m never the same.
For You’ve provided comfort - when my heart was breaking:
You have plenty of assistance - that’s mine for my taking.
You always forgive me - when I humbly request:
Oh, I’m such weak sinner - I feel like a pest.
You love me so much more - than I can even comprehend
and You’re always with me - Oh, true and faithful Friend.
You’re worthy of my praise - from morning till night
and Your glorious face - shall never leave my sight.
For my heart is overflowing - with joy and thanksgiving
and I’ll praise You continually - as long as I’m living.

He is the only Being in life who will truly never disappoint, abandon or fail to keep His Word.

He's the one my heart runs to in every need and in thankfulness for every joy.

He's the source of my existence - from the foundation of the world

He's the force which keeps the atoms from flying apart into nothingness - of the entire creation.

He's LOVE - in a way that knows absolutely no fear whatsoever because it cannot be overcome by anything.

That's just a little bit.
