Here is the first part of my new project:

A Short History of the World

Chapter One

The sin of Adam was to take of the garden tree forbidden,
Creator of life, the face of God, a dark veil now hidden.

From the line of Seth, the appointed son, came the eternal promise,
To bruise the Serpent's head when God lived, died arose among us.

As the mark of Cain worked its curse upon hearts of stone,
Enosh was one of those who called the name of God to alone.

A worker of cedar was Cainan, carpenter and wood smith if you will,
His name and age is all that the God of creation gave to reveal.

The praise of God was Mahalaleel as upon Jehovah he kept his gaze,
At his side in the courts of heaven, we will see with same eyes ablaze.

What is there to say of the terrible Jared, a man most feared,
Rather, let us as lovers of the Godly way, to gain and be admired.

The one who walked the talk was Enoch, much said could be,
He as a brother who went to Heaven, so close to God was he.

Skilled in weapons was Methuselah in the hunt or in alarm,
The javelin found its mark when in flight from his arm.

The taker of two wives was Lamech who stood for his rights,
With no reguard for the Mark of Cain, he lived for the fights.

Noah, a quiet man of rest, God awoke to an arc erecting,
A polluted world, with a flood, he planned on cleansing.

Fearless Phil
