River, It started as Dale and Carolyn taking a road trip and making stops here and there to encourage formers along the way. It has become something surprising. Dale will be speaking, and evangelical pastors from the areas where the meetings will be held are invited. Local churches are doing a lot of advertising. Dale will talk about the unique doctrines of Adventism and explain the new covenant and discuss how to minister to Adventists and formers. There will also be Q & A with a panel after several of the meetings. Richard and I will be at several of the venues, too, including St. Joseph, Miamisburg, Lincon, and Auburn. Colleen | ||

River, Dale is touring the country to be an encouragement to all who have or are in the process of escaping Adventism. I think our role is to be an encouragement to him. I have an SDA aunt to died and there will be a memorial service for her on the 12th of June in Gladstone. (SDAs and formers know what that means.) Anyway, I am planning on visiting my cousins (her children) on the Eleventh and have the "joy" of explaining why I will not be in Gladstone on that day. Maybe, some prayer support on being able to say the right thing would be good. I am expecting a phone call later this evening where we work out the details. For one thing, since I am the "family historian" and they, for some reason, don't know much about their mother's early life, they are asking me about their own mother. And, I know she didn't believe the SDA line. Years ago, when we talked about doctrine, she agreed with me but stayed SDA. Fearless Phil | ||
