I noticed a mention of Bob George back in a 2004 discussion. If any of you are not familiar with him, I recommend his website (People to People Ministries) & radio show & books. Lots of teaching on the New Covenant, law & grace. Plus he has a 'former' working with him! I found out about him one day while I was flipping radio channels (740 am in SO. CA) & heard him take a call re: Adventism. He stated matter-of -factly: "They just have law & grace all mixed up!" And remarked something to the effect that they were under a delusion & it's extremely difficult to get through to them. But praise God, NOTHING is impossible with Him! We are testimony to that.

Amen, Nowisee! Yes, Bob George's book Classic Christianity is a must-read. It was powerful in my life shortly after we left Adventism. I really believe that former Adventists really benefit from his grasp of the fact that we have only ONE identity—our new identity in Christ. We can't hold onto both our weaknesses and our new identity as a son or daughter of God.

We still have our weaknesses, but God, not they, now defines us.

I highly recommend that book!

Colleen
