Lee Strobel spoke at all services this weekend at my church. I felt like he was talking only to me as he spoke of the unexpected adventure where God gives us an opportunity to witness for Him. Here is the url to hear him: http://www.centralonlinecampus.com/lobby.php

It reminded me of how God has used me unexpectedly and how He has used each of you in various ways, unexpectedly and what an adventure it has been and will continue to be.
He also brought in prayer with this. He made 3 points about prayer.
1. Pray first about anything or anyone. Pray specifically, fervently and consistently. Ask God to ambush me with an unexpected adventure.
2. Always keep the door open to questions. It is okay to doubt and question as long as we search for the answer. We do not have to be the Bible answer man. And dialogue not debate.
3. Be authentic in our relationships with others. Just be ourselves-sinners saved by grace.
To my SDA friends. Just go listen to this Christian preacher.

We do have an awesome God.

ps I just had to share this with everyone. It felt like he spoke to me, personally.

Vivian, I went to my church's website when I got home and logged on and got todays sermon at their 11:20 service. I just went there and found last weeks sermon. To get Lee you may have to wait until Tuesday when it will be posted at the website.

You will like Lee. He is good. Have pencil and paper handy to take notes.
When I was listening to him today I started thinking of the various instances where God has unexpectedly used many people here in various ways. It excited me that God is using me and others like that.

Diana How wonderful to get to hear him, I've given his books to friends and I have a friend who is an SDA pastor who recommends his books to people, so we have a point of agreement!!
When you know God is using you it is exciting for sure.Peggy

Strobel lives in my area, and last I heard, he is active in Hybel's Willow Creek church.

The Case for Christ was a phenonemal book in its own right. Especially when he got to the fact that it makes no sense to say the apostles fabricated the resurrection.

Also, it was in The Case for Christ that Strobel first introduced me to F.F. Bruce, whom he interviewed in the book. I owe Strobel greatly for this, because Bruce's biography of Paul is one of the greatest Christian books I have ever read.
