Just a quick note to testify of the goodness of God in my life. I absolutely LOVE being part of the Christian church at large. I am becomming a happy, content, gracious person, much more so since I left Adventism three years ago. I hardly recognize myself. :-)

The agony of of the exodus is over, no more staddling the fence, and the grass is so much greener over here on this side of the gospel!
Im just amazed at how much I love life, people, and especially GOD.
I am learning to forgive quickly, and grasp things lightly, and to not allow offense to take root in me. All good stuff. All the work of the grace of Jesus in my life.

Just wanted to encourage those of you in the heat. It gets better.

I really have met the most fun and happy people on this forum. We have a lot of fun via email and facebook and posting here. We are not at all the bitter bunch I was warned about!
We are the grateful ones, who were brought out of Egypt!

Amen!!! Still dealing with the angst of church fellowship issues (needing to move on but not knowing how, when or where) - BUT have been so so so blessed by the overall, worldwide Body of Christ and have met the MOST amazing people in our church, on this forum, and in other places. I never cease to be amazed at the common bond that is there that I never felt or experienced before that crosses all barriers of denomination, race, social class, education.. etc.. etc...

Sister, you have blessed my heart with sharing both the blessings of your journey and the encouragement to others

But I gotta say your use of the word heat has got me thinking of that Ron Kenoly song that has the line that goes "If you catch hell don't hold it, if you're going through hell don't stop"

Anyway I echo your sentiment. One of the things I have so enjoyed about becoming a Christian is the genuine fellowship with other believers all over the world whether in person or electronically like we have here

The church's one foundation
is Jesus Christ her Lord;
she is his new creation
by water and the Word.
From heaven he came and sought her
to be his holy bride;
with his own blood he bought her,
and for her life he died.

Elect from every nation,
yet one o'er all the earth;
her charter of salvation,
one Lord, one faith, one birth;
one holy name she blesses,
partakes one holy food,
and to one hope she presses,
with every grace endued.

Just an update,
Right after posting this, I was just filled with more joy. Seems every time I testify to the goodness of God, more awareness of that goodness comes.
My life continues to have turmoil, and I continue to walk in joy and thankfulness. I encourage others to speak up about God's grace in your life. He is worthy of our praise and thanfulness.
