you n me Phil! We should go on tour now! haha. j/k. I didn't look around the blog any further, so I didn't know you were there too.

I agree River, it can't stop the truth, and just draws more attention to it, which was my motivation in posting it all over the place. lol.

quote:

Did anyone see his post about Phil's story? He smugly dimissed the scapegoat problem as merely an unimportant issue of "goat identification"!!

Yeah, no big deal if your church teaches that Satan, not Jesus, bears the sins of the world and dies for them.

Ellen thought she was like John the Baptist. She usurped for herself Jesus' description of John as "more than a Prophet."

John the Baptist said of Jesus: "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!"

Ellen White said of Satan: "Behold the Dragon of Evil who takes away the sins of the world!"

Yeah, no big deal if they mis-identify their goats. Right. Except that it shows that their prophetess was Satan's version of John the Baptist.

It seems like this guy likes the juicy morsels. On Phil, with an L, he left out the scapegoat. On Sondra, he left out 1844 and pick on the divorce. How convenient. Is he trying to defend the doctrines or to attack the people? I think he wanted Sondra to comment on the "adultery" so as to really make it juicy. I think it's called diversionary tactic. At least we know that LAM and proclamation, and by association this forum are getting under their skin. Translation: they are being effective proclaiming the gospel of Jesus vs. the gospel of EGW.

Keep up the good work!

by the way.. none of your comments have been posted there. If it looks like your comment has gone up, look at the top and it will say "waiting moderation". Mine has still not been approved, but I can see it if I pull the page.

I get the sense that he never dreamed the person he was talking about was actually going to read his words. I guess he thinks the electric fence keeps us poor saps out. =)
Sondra

p.s. however, blogs often show the the page of origin where people clicked to get to their blog. He has probably read this .. =)

Out of curiosity, I researched just who this fellow is who posted these blogs on 'Electric Fence'. His name is Bruce N. Cameron, J.D. He is a lawyer who specializes in labor law and is a professor at the Regents University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The university is a very good one and is unrelated to the Adventist church. In fact, most of what he does I would be in complete agreement with. But, him being a lawyer and an Adventist one at that, I certainly have a very different view on what the true gospel message is and how the subject of 'law' fits into my faith walk with the Lord.

Here are a couple of quotes from his introductory paragraph:

quote:

Each issue of Proclamation! has a section called “Stories of Faith,” in which it recounts why some poor sap left the Adventist Church and joined the lammers.

The target of this blog is the editors and managers of LAM who offer up these poor unfortunates as an example of why you should leave the Adventist Church.

He also writes Sabbath School lessons in conjunction with the official quarterly and when I Goggled that topic I got both his website and our commentary website. What he said related to Sondra or myself is mild when compared to what he says about the Tinkers.

Remember, our enemy is Satan and not those trapped in his lies. I purpose in my life to confront lies and heresy and remember who the real foe is. So, let's pray for Bruce.

So that is Bruce Cameron. I know him. His wife taught my son in first grade. One of our FAFer's went to school with him. Last I knew his job was at the National Right to Work organization in Fairfax, VA.
I had a couple email communications with him after I moved to NV. He knows I am no longer SDA. I have prayed for him and forgotten him.
Phil, you are so right. Our enemy is Satan and not those trapped in his lies. Let us pray for Bruce. Our awesome God loves him also.

I read the comments he made about Phil and Ziprick, as well as Sondra. All I can say is that the veil is so tight over his eyes and heart no one but Jesus can take it off. He has no understanding of why anyone would leave adventism.

I was looking over that website again. Down in a corner under contribute is a statement: Sabbathschoollessons.com is like grace...free, but not without cost. My understanding is that grace is FREE!!! No cost to us. Jesus paid all the price....His blood. Again I say that veil is on tightly.

Sondra; this lawyer reminds me of how some Muslims react when other Muslims become Christians. To their minds, it's IMPOSSIBLE for those conversions to be real, even when the converted Muslim has had a supernatural experience from God; because to their minds Islam is the ONE TRUE RELIGION! And of course, to Adventist minds, Adventism is the ONE TRUE CHURCH! (You probably have heard of the mighty way God is moving in the middle east and of all the Muslims who've had dreams and visions of Jesus!)

To be fair, I too might have reacted the same way when I was an Adventist, if I'd heard about someone leaving for theological reasons, because God called them out!

I posted a comment on the "electric fence", hope I don't get shocked... It will probably never appear, like the rest of the comments submitted by FAF members. Pray for this man...

Yes, asurprise, have you seen the excellent DVD, "More Than Dreams"? 4 or 5 of the Muslims who have had special encounters with Jesus are featured. It's amazing!

Dear Sondra and Phil
Does sound like you are right on target.

i pray that God will mightily use your witness and your testimonies to defeat the lies of the enemy does seem to have him stirred up a bit :-):-):-):-)

I do pray for Bruce that his zeal for what he believes to be true will be nothing in comparison to his zeal for the TRUTH when God delivers him out of adventism. i know that reading the testimonies of true deliverance will have an impact on his life.

God says that he wants us hot or cold and this fellow is certainly hot.

May God turn his fervor even as He turned the fire breathing Saul into the apostle Paul.

love your enemies
bless those who curse you
do good to those who hate you
and pray for those who despitefully use you.

one thing is needful to sit at His feet and learn of Jesus.

love

During the first year I was at my church I met a lady who was raised Muslim, had an encounter with God in a dream and left it. Dundo lent me a CD with the story of two Muslims who left it for Jesus. The first one was a man who trained to be a terrorist and God came to him in jail. The second man learned of Jesus through friends who gave him a Bible and told him to read the Gospels. It is very interesting.

Love those stories. Saturday I am attending a Voice of the Martyrs conference in Dallas... so looking forward to that. Lots of those kind of stories.

Wow.. interesting research here about the blog writer, and that he knows people here. I didn't take the time to look anymore at it. I can' only imagine what he would say about the Tinkers.

I saw the thing about Sabbath School lessons though.. and a lay pastor I used to know who now lives in Florida also writes blog commentary on S.S. lessons .. which led me to this observation.

Bible + EGW commentary + S.S. quarterly commentary on the egw commentary on the bible + sda teachers/pastors personal commentary on the s.s. quarterly on the egw commentary on the Bible...

That's drinking a long way down from the original Spring and very polluted by the time it gets to someone. Stick with the fresh water of life...

Just a thought.

Just checked the blog... He published my comment, I have to admit I'm surprised. May be because I tried my best to tone it down, so he didn't feel a big opposition there... nevertheless, I'm still surprised.

Nowisee,

Yes, after you mentioned that DVD on another thread, I checked it out online. All five stories are available to download free online at: http://www.morethandreams.org/

I've watched a couple of them, and I definitely recommend watching these incredible testimonies, played out in dramatic reenactments. Like you said, it's amazing!

I am glad, George, that he put your comments on his blog. There was a comment before yours that sounds like a former SDA also.

Skeeter,

On the main page, click on the links under each story that say "(more...)" and then you will see a link that says "Watch this video" at the top right of each page.

I posted something three days ago on the blog he did on me which he hasn't yet responded to. Since it is in the form of a question, I expect him to respond directly back to me.

If you have read what he said about me, you will notice that he isn't very impressed with my SDA theology training. Well, I am no longer sixteen years old and fifty-two years have gone by. And, what I may have lacked back then certainly does not reflect who I am now.

I have only one goal if a dialog develops between us. Share the true gospel and the awesome love of Jesus Christ.

Phil, I hope he does dialogue with you. He seems to think he has all the answers. That is common to members of that church. He did not listen to me when I told him why I left adventism.

Phil, I read your testimony in Proclamation but not the cometary in the "electric fence" blog. I hate to create traffic on this guy's blog, but I'll go search for it... May be I'll try to make a comment there too... George

I appreciate those of you who have layed it on the line and proclaimed the truth. That blog is a badge of honor to Sondra.

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

14But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.
