Does any one here use E-sword (Free electronic Bible Study Program)? If you do,please let me know. I desperately need to ask a question about converting from version 8.x to 9.x.

Thank you for any help you could give me.

Thank you, John.

I used that converter, and it did convert about all the modules. I did not have any problem with those. My problem is that when I try to convert my personal topics and notes it asks me for a password, and I did not pass-worded my personal topics and notes. So I don't have a password. I'm told that e-sword automatically places a password on those. Why? I have no idea. So there has to be a work around that. Do you know of any?

Sorry, could not duplicate your problem. Being a pack-rat I still have the old files so I ran a convert on the top & not files, did not ask for passwords, I'm at a loss as to why this is happening to you.

Ha!!! :-)

Animal; Actually Jay Sekulow from the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice) says that in congress, there's something called a "Cyber Security Act," that, if passed, would grant the federal government control over all electronic communication!

Hec,

A thought off the to of my head, perhaps you could uninstall 9.0, reinstall 8.0, save your topics and notes to another file (word, notepad...) then reinstall 9.0?

I use esword but do all my documenting in MSWord usually.

Just my .02!

In Christ,
Brian

The problem is that I don't have the version 8.x install, and they don't distribute it anymore. If anybody have it, please e-mail it to me at hecaherg@hotmail.com

http://files.youdownload.com/e-Sword-8-0-6-download-b268154d4f.htm

My virus scan came up clean on this download link, and the number of bytes matches the file I already have.
