I was checking the site Biblestudytools.com and found a banner by Amazing Facts and Dough Bachelor. Is this a SDA site? It doesn't say anywhere, as is their custom not the identify themselves. This is what I sent in the feedback they ask right at the top of the page:

quote:

This is just a note to ask a question. I see Amazing Facts has a very attractive link banner right at the top of your site. Is this site a Seventh-day Adventist site that does not let people know that it is, or is this an evangelical site whose developers do not know that Amazing Facts and Dough Bachelor are Seventh-day Adventists, a want-to-be evangelical denomination, but which really is a cult? Their belief on the Trinity, which they call the Godhead is not orthodox. As the Jehovah Witnesses they belief that Jesus is the archangel Michael, they believe that Jesus did not ascend to the most holy place at his ascension, but went to the holy place until 1844 when he then went to the most holy place to judge the believers (they call this the investigating judgment or pre-advent judgment. They also, like the Mormons, have an extra biblical authority, their prophetess Ellen White. There are other aberrant doctrines they hold, but I think that this is enough for you to research then and maybe take then off your site so it won't mislead people to error.

Was I right in sending them this note? If it is SDA, well maybe they should ID themselves, if it is not, they need to know and maybe some of you would like to send them a note too to warn them.

Hec,

I think it was a good idea to send them a note. In looking at the bottom of the page, it looks like it is owned by Salem Communications, a non-SDA company which also owns Oneplace.com, an online host for Christian radio and TV programs. Some of us have contacted Oneplace.com in the past due to their hosting several SDA radio programs, including Doug Batchelor.
