I wish that this were a joke but it's not. For the last several months I have been daydreaming/wishing there was a verse by verse visual, animated Bible.

I have to wonder why has nobody (that I'm aware of) done an animated Bible but somebody has begun an animated series on EGW's works?

Hey, Enoch, I wasn't sure what you were referring to (may have missed the post or something), but tonight a friend told me about a guy in Canada whose dream it has been to animate Ellen White's books, and I saw the website!!!! A giant E-w-w-w-! Have you all seen this? It's so bizarre! Visit ellenvision.com and share your reactions, please.

Yes, first there was television and then there was "devilvision" according to our SDA friends. You may remember that many Seventh-day Adventists referred to the new invention of television as nothing less than "devilvision" when it first became widely used in American homes (largely because of the "Lawrence Welk Show" on Saturday nights).

So, now we can supposedly better understand the evolution of the electronic media--from television (1950s), to devilvision (1960s), finally to ellenvision (2010). Scary to even think about! Some Adventists initially claimed to own a black and white TV for the sole purpose of watching "Faith for Today" on Sunday mornings. Of course, we still believe that, don't we?

Nowisee, E-w-w-w-w-w does not adequately summarize my reaction to this new site—I know you share my deep reactions. It's unbelievable...and the claims they make are actually blasphemous.

They're "animating" EGWs visions, and they state that they are doing this so they can tell the story so the world will finally know that God is love.

Excuse ME???? They're telling the story of Ellen's visions so the world will finally know God is love?

The cross is gone. Ellen is here.

What is so astounding, is that these people don't realize how creepy this is. It has nothing to do with the Bible, and honestly, would only be "understood" in context, by SDA's. If Adventists only knew how weird and unrelatable these videos are to the outside world. I guess, there is the odd duck, that would find this compelling...but I think most people who wandered onto this site would research further about Ellen White. Oh, if only the web were avaiblible many years ago...so much misery averted!

Cults start out with new light, or new revelation. Yuk!!!!! Please, SDA's, understand this!!!!!

That site gave me chills, and NOT in a good way. It's not a 'safe' site spiritually, so I would advise anyone visiting it to cover themselves with the blood first.

Scary stuff.

www.ellenvision.com Weeping ... literally weeping ... This is SO WRONG and SO Deceptive and SO ....

I almost want to pray for the people who are doing this = asking God to forgive them - don't hold this great sin against them.

By animating Ellen White's Visions they wish to bring light to the World. LIGHT? Light is Jesus. He said, "I am Light". Ellen's visions are the light the world needs??? This is blasphemous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is interesting that the background to this site is BLACK - totally BLACK. They animate the "First vision" then the put up the credits and have the phrase, "Jesus Christ, the author and Finisher of our Faith" - almost as a glancing thought.

Actually, this site is good. Let the Christian community see this ... Let the Christian community get a good look at the Seventh-day Adventist Prophetess and her visions. I'm going to show this to my pastor ...

Oh my!! Followed a link to: EGW's first vision in 3D: I had to shut the link very quickly once her animated face was shown..., creepy beyond imagination (how can they think this is God leading them to create this?)

I don't want to watch it... But are you guys telling me that they are actually producing animations of EGW's visions--meaning, they are trying to make it be as if you are actually having the same vision yourself?? Yikes. This is about as occultic/demonic as you can get.

Jeremy, it is animated like a "cartoon" animation. And yes, it is as if you are watching it ... Ellen White is portrayed as an animated cartoon figure -

I literally started crying ... Crying for the blasphemy and sin against God that it is ...

Yes, and as it shows the people walking that narrow path to heaven that she claims she saw, the "people" look exactly like aliens: no discernible clothing, just humanoid figures that look exactly like depictions of aliens.

Occultic is the word that closely describes it. I felt absolute horror last night when I saw it and as I heard the voice explaining the "need" for giving this light to the world.

I understand your reactions, Keri.

I just watched that horrible thing and submitted my opinion to them that this "Ellenvision" is total Blasphemy... and them saying it is to "give light".... JESUS is THE light NOT Ellen White.
They should be ashamed and it makes me feel even more embarrassed and ashamed that I was ever a part of a denomination that would do something like this.
I hope everyone who sees this piece of garbage will see it for what it really is.

Mmm... The curiosity killed the cat, they say. I checked the website and the first thing that appears is that picture of the world, half of Ellen's face with her eyes pointing up, and that light coming out of... Her nose? All in quite red-ish colours.

Do you know what it (vaguely) reminded me of? Star Wars. Really, that's the first thought it brought to my mind. The same as that Amazing Facts video with the war in heaven. In the picture, Ellen's looking over the world, as a sort of Darth Vader... And I also looked a bit at the "vision" video... That was a bit creepy. Besides, now will the world really know that God is love? Really? What did Jesus do when He lived on Earth? What have God been telling us for thousands of years? What have thousands of real Christians and the Church been doing throughout all history?

Not sure if this is made by the SDA church as an institution or if it just somebody's "dream"... Can't imagine the institution doing something like this, though, since there are "subtler" ways to pass their message.

And now that we're talking abou EGW and other weird stuff... What do you make out of this? I was reading a website (http://www.bereanbeacon.org/) that was linked in another thread, for people in the Catholic church, and found this article about the supposed Pope's plans for "world domination", basically. You'll find it almost at the top of the list of articles in the home page.

It's an "interesting" read, especially knowing what we used to believe... And if you add all the news about the Pope's offer to Anglicans to become Catholics... Well, I can imagine many SDA people just feeling really excited about it. I won't lie saying that all of it didn't bring some thoughts to my mind. By the way, I've been attending an evangelical Anglican church in the UK for the last year, so you can see why the Pope's offer came quite near :-)

However, there's a huge difference now compared with before. I don't exactly know how things will unfold in the future... But I trust that whatever happens, it will be under God's control and in the end it will be the best that it can be. God is complete sovereign of the universe, knowing the end from the beginning, and as such He doesn't depend on the decisions or actions of anybody else. He can deliver, and He will deliver.

Under what is ellenvision, on the screen, the SDAs are mentioned as being counseled to have original ways to spread their "truth". I am paraphrasing that. So, they are getting credit for producing this in so far as it is their belief.
