Well, it's three and a half weeks until the FAF weekend. The crunch is here... I'm asking for prayer for this weekend, that God will work powerfully and glorify Himself. Here are some things you can pray about: Pray that God will nudge those who need to come to sign up and come. Pray that God will protect and bless all who are presenting. Pray that lives will be changed and God will manifest Himself in powerful ways. Pray that we will not forget any details and that all will be done on time. Participants who need us to cover them in prayer: General session speakers Mark Martin—opening night Gary Inrig Dale Ratzlaff Greg Taylor Christianity EDU speakers Elizabeth Inrig—"Which OT promises to Israel does God Keep?" Bill Born—"Adopted into the Family" Jon Rittenhouse—"Does the Bible teach 'once saved, always saved"? Breakout Session leaders Martin Carey Jim Valentine Greg Taylor Dale Ratzlaff Joan Yorba-Gray/Colleen Tinker Faith Stories Carolyn Macomber Steve Pitcher Cheryl and Woody Granger Praise Team Sharon Strum Scott Strum Roy Tinker Jamie Rabenstein Sarah Schumacher Hospitality team LynnRae Dupree and Thais Kanold Bethany Halpin Rachel Halpin Rebekah Morgan All the facilities people, sound/video, photographer, etc. Here are a couple of concerns right now: Jim Valentine is undergoing diagnostic tests for some serious-looking spots on a kidney. We are not certain whether or not he'll be able to come. He needs prayer. Gary Inrig is undergoing tests to determine the right treatment for his recently diagnosed prostate cancer. Our whole church is praying for him; we are concerned that God will glorify Himself in this, and that for our particular situation, he'll be able to speak at the weekend. There is always opposition before FAF weekends; unforeseen obstacles and health concerns, etc., always seem to happen right before the weekend. We are convinced these things are not accidents. Lives have been changed as a result of people hearing exactly what they needed to hear for the power of the gospel to penetrate their hearts at these weekends. Thank you for joining us in praying for all these situations, from God's directing those who need to come to His protecting the presenters. Just a reminder: the registration cost of $65 includes four meals, snacks on Friday, handouts, a free book from LAM Publishing, and great opportunities to learn and to talk with others who share our unique background. Thanks Colleen, I so wish I could come, but the finances just weren't there, when we added plane tickets, hotel, and car. Oh well, maybe next year. I'll be praying for everything to go well, no obstacles, and unforeseen blessings. Clinton | ||

Praying Colleen. Two weeks tomororw I leave to come down to California. Can't wait to get there and be at the conference. Can this thread be moved up to the top. I almost missed it. |
