"It's a fact: Adventists simply look better than other people, look fitter, cleaner, happier."

No Hell.

No atonement.

No Jesus, he was Michael the arc angel.

How convenient for Adventist theology Jere!

As I quoted in my article in the Members section. Then I find in my Bible in Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

These sneekers, these creepers who have snuck in unawares to the average bear. Condemned of old, ordained to this condemnation.

And there are formers who say, "Oh, poor innocent deceived Christians." What have they been smoking, we need to lay off the wacky backy there dude.

These false teachers say "You can't hold us accountable!" I got news for you, you have already been held accountable squirrel head!

False teachers who have their little God with a bun, how quaint is that, Eh Jeremy?
Well, bend me over and tickle me with a feather!

NowIsee,
My wife, who has been in the medical field longer than I care to speculate says vegetarians look pale and sickly from lack of protein, or some such, as she reels off a bunch of medical jargon thats hard for me too throw a rope around.

What I say to that comment would get me thrown off this forum, so I will not say it.
The last I saw of sdas, in church, were not very happy faces. When I saw them at the baby shower I went to about 4 years ago they were happy for the baby about to be born.
Our awesome God wants us to be happy in Him and rejoice and praise Him for all things. Can't help but be happy now.

Yeah Diana,

The only word that comes to my mind is synonymous with sphincter.

I suppose Ellen White is a good example of what healthy, happy adventists look like?

Rosy glow of meat eating Formers:

Jan and I had breakfast with Handmaiden and Asuprise this morning. Jan and Handmaiden (both are 'never was')were amazed at how Aspurise and I ate all the bacon we could get ahold of. But then, neither one of us is the least bit sickly looking. As for proof, check out Asuprise's photo on my Facebook profile.

P.S.
Jan and I are resting for the night in Woodland, CA and should be over the Grapevine by tomorrow evening.

Nice to "see" you again, Phil! :-)

Yes, that bacon tasted good! :-)

It's so nice to have found out that "unclean meats" represented "unclean" PEOPLE and that that wasn't a health law at all! It's so obvious in the Bible (if Adventists would just read Leviticus 20:24-26 and then Acts 10:10-28 where Peter had the vision of the "unclean" animals and learned that God had cleansed the Gentiles; and also Romans 14:14 and 1st Timothy 4:1-5). I feel cheated to have been taught that and especially so because of the fact that it should have been obvious to the ones who teach SDA doctrine.

Did you notice how spiritually dark William Johnson looks? I didn't play any of the videos - just looked at the freeze-frames of his face on the different ones. It reminds me how unhappy most of the Adventists looked at the last Adventist campmeeting I went to. Most of them were elderly and most of them looked desperately unhappy.

Phil--I'm looking forward to seeing you!

Nowisee, that quote is just—well—shockingly false! What is he thinking??!!

I made two crock pots of split pea soup for our lunch crowd yesterday. Normally I don't serve meats from the "unclean" category...just because of lingering sensitivities...but I put ham hock in one of the pots. Oh, my—good stuff!

As the crowd thinned, I shared my amusement with Richard...the ham hock pot was empty, and the meatless pot still had soup. Ha! (Yes, I did tell people what was in it...)

Colleen,

Even my lifelong-vegetarian wife loves smoked ham in bean soup (smile). It is so unfortunate that the legacy of Adventism makes it often impossible or difficult to enjoy a meal with fellow believers.

Colleen,

You can always add in the ham. Save some for me and watch how fast it will disappear.

I am headed for Escondido for a two days and then up to Anza before arriving in Redlands. However, I got a "little" turned around with your freeway traffic so we are spending the night in Riverside.

Phil I live in Riverside with my new wife. :-) It has been a long weekend, Marilynn and I drove up to visit family and friends in central California. My dad is very sick and in the hospital so we try to visit whenever possible.

Just be careful driving in Riverside. One of my nephews is a policeman there and if you have to see a judge, my brother in law is a judge there. If you meet them, please, do not say you know me!!!

Well, I escaped out of Riverside and we are now safe and sound in Escondido. Thursday, we will go up in the mountains to Anza. You all put the scare in me and I will not stop in Riverside and if I do I will refrain from mentioning the Flyinglady. I have a cousin there but he has All-Timers so no point in seeing him. Jan's folks are in the national cemetery but that is south of town and if we decide to stop there we should be safe enough. By the way, Jan grew up in Indio and we are not going there either.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting everybody who is going to the FAF conference.
