Sharing a devotional with you all "I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours." --John 17:9 How would you feel right now if you knew that Jesus was in the room next to yours praying for you? Would you be filled with peace and confidence? Well, let me tell you something. Distance doesn't matter! Whether Jesus is in the next room or at the right hand of the Father, he is praying for you. That's just what today's Scripture says. He is praying for us! .....Jesus is praying for you. Take heart and be confident in him. He's calling your name in prayer before God this moment. This brings me such comfort to know that Jesus prays for us, particularly in light of what he said further on in verse 20 : "I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me because of their testimony." Its like Jesus looked into the future and saw you and me and prayed for us! Simply awesome. | ||

Yes! I was thinking about this last night, and wondering what God prayed about specifically when He prayed for me. So I asked Him, and listened, and the response was so comforting and empowering and convicting all at once! Try asking Him what He is praying for you right now, and then listen with your spirit! | ||

Thank you for that Lori, also in Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. This is not only for Peter, but for us also if we will just reach out and believe. Satan has desired us to sift us as wheat, but the Lord has prayed for us, that our faith fail not. We are assured above all that Jesus prayer was answered, all that is left to do is strengthen the brethren just as you have today. Your faith strengthens me. Have a great day.  River | ||

I love Jack Graham. One of the verses that grabbed me about the IJ was Heb 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, BECAUSE HE ALWAYS LIVES TO INTERCEDE for them. He's not only in heaven preparing a place for me, He's interceding for me. Thanks Lori for this great reminder!! |
