Colleen posted this quote: There is such a fanatical and unrelenting attempt on the part of the Seventh-day Adventist to make the Scriptures mean what they wish them to teach, that one, in reading their arguments, is impressed that there is indeed somthing Satanic about such a rabid brand of religiosity. Apparently it is the design of the enemy of men's souls to divert the attention of the needy soul to the observance of a day, as a means of salvation, and away from the Lord Himself as "the way, the truth and the life."
Like the way he describes the sda as Satanic and rabid. He hit it right on the nose. WOW!!!!!

Colleen, I have no clue at all what a devastating movement that is, when joined. I am born in communism and was not teach faith in youth, and am like given to myself and have no body who worried about me. Now to look back I see satanic spirit behind the church, I myself am hurt, but was hurt anyway so it is not sdas who hurt me, but throughout last 13 years of adventism, I see so many destroyed persons. Fruit is bad in spite of some good examples. I think that those 2 new issues of Proclamation will turn to a new era of exadventism. No mere support but must be mobilization for spiritual fight against that insidious spirit of adventism.
We must come to few major statements, that points in all world, some like doctrine against sda doctrines, to help us all and give us unique message for activism in ours areas.

The coldness of adventist leaders and lack of emotions is one thing that I remember and still feel under my skin. They are so revengeful to every opposition, fighting against members and them selfs for positions in structure....satanic cult yes it is.

Goran, you have just made a really insightful and important point. I do pray that with the republication of the Talbot articles, the new look at the ways the Adventists deceived Walter Martin, and the publication of the new Rose brochure—and so on—that the Christian world will actually wake up and realize Adventists need to be evangelized just as much as do the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons.

And we formers must be willing to acknowledge before God that we were bound by an evil deception, a clever false gospel that did not originate with a mere human but with the father of lies. We must repent and ask God to redeem those years and to glorify Himself in and through us and to give us the courage and wisdom and clarity to speak the truth in love to all those He places in our paths.

We can't pretend Adventism is just a little bit "off" but is essentially Christian. It is an evil deception; it has deceived millions of people, and those people have believed and do believe that they alone know biblical truth. But they are bound to a false Jesus who could have sinned, who did not finish His atonement. They are in a very clever spiritual prison that masquerades as part of the body of Christ but in reality exists to steal members from the true Sheepfold.

God is gracious. I'm so thankful He called us, redeemed us, and us exposing the truth.

Colleen,

Wow, great quotes by Talbot. Don't you wish we had known about those a few years ago, when we had certain discussions here on the forum? God's timing is perfect, though.

What this means, if we say that Moses didnt resurected in context of: Judas:
But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, ...? (does that contradict Proclamation on page 5)

Afer reading this Proclamation, looks to me, that we can say that Adventism is religion for himself, and not a part of Christianity.
Adventism is a new religion which claims that 7Day is a way of salvation, like faith in Jesus WAS before 1844. Because, a part of all 10com, on the end line of SDAs doctrine, there is only ONE commandment of God, like there was TREE in Eden. Only Sabbath vs. Sunday.

I sent Proclamation by email, to Sda pastor in my hometown and here is his replay:-(it is translatation from croatian, so..)

Goran, I opened and read the objections to the Church. For every church in the world, every political organization and the state have pro et contra arguments. When Jesus was on the cross, then came mockers and told him let him come down to believe him, and he has not gone down. Seventh-day Adventist Church has a special mission in which is Saturday, the second coming, etc. E. White is their particular thorn in the side, and why? Because you do not follow the criteria of interpretation of hers theological writings. Let them write whatever they want, they really hate Saturday, and I witness that I have received Holy Spirit on Saturday.
Angriest opponents of Christ were ex sabbath keepers, Saturday formers, and in the end they crucified him. The devil is particularly angry since Mount Caramel, when the priests of Baal lack to get fire fell on the sacrificial, but because God is! I believe that says, moreover, I had the opportunity to personally hear the voice of God that spoke to me.

Let everyone do his job, and I'm standing here where I am, waiting for Christ, and the first Saturday without sin in eternity, there will be also my sister, Ellen!

Thank you for sent me mail!

The article "Did Adventist leaders lie to Walter Martin?" isn't surprising. When I was an Adventist, I too would have wanted people to not be put off by thinking Adventism was a cult. I also would have avoided answering directly, changed the subject, fudged a little, etc. to get people to join the ONE TRUE CHURCH!!!

Goran, The SDA pastor opened it & read it. That is good. He is defensive & dismissive, even rejecting, BUT he READ it.

We can pray that it is not over yet, that God will use what is now in his mind to influence him, to convict & convert.

Thank you God for Goran's courage to send this man TRUTH! Almighty, All-powerful God - nothing is too hard for You. With YOU all things are possible.

May this be the first crack in the foundation wall of deceit for this man. May he come to know the true Gospel. May the light of Jesus shine in Croatia. Thy kingdom come.

Goran,

The verse in Jude about Moses does not say that he was resurrected. It only says that there was a dispute between Michael (an archangel) and the devil regarding the body of Moses. In fact, some think Jude was referring to a certain ancient Jewish tradition to say that Michael (who is the "prince" over Israel, according to the book of Daniel) and the devil were arguing over the burial (not resurrection) of the body of Moses.

Goran, interesting reply from your pastor friend! It is not surprising...but as J9 said, at least he read it...God can use that long-term.

Asurprise, same here. I would definitely have wanted to "fudge" the truth about Adventism so as to lure people in. And truly, in a certain way, their acceptance of my beliefs would have validated them to me! How backwards is that?

Jeremy, thanks, I see that E.W. give some extra adition to that text.

J9. Amen.

Colleen,

do you remember my proff text from our talk about "Law"?
I have to the point that GEN 26:5 (because Abraham obeyed me and kept my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws)in view of ROM 4, is now my main text for justification by faith alone. I understand it to be God DECLARATION of ABRAHAM full rightfulness inspite of the fact that Abraham was not keeping the LaW (even if there was a Law), because he kils, lie, and lived in open adultery (if we consider what Jesus said about that).
Abraham was DECLARED to be OK. in the sight of God because of giving faith to God. Because he was a friend of God.

Yes! I remember, Goran, and it's so wonderful that you see that is really a "righteousness of God" text and not a "righteousness by keeping the commandments" text.

I am just so happy for what God is doing in you, Goran. Praise Him!

With thanksgiving,
Colleen

I agree that this is one of the best issues. The article by Dr. Talbot just blew me away.

I see from the comments that there is more to come (I was wondering if you had the rest of the articles he alludes to) and I can't wait to read them.

His article should be read by all current Adventists!

It is in the mail--we are already receiving requests to have names dropped from the list. We are also receiving letters and calls saying this issue has been really impacting and people want multiple copies of it.

It should arrive sometime within the next couple of weeks...

And today I held in my hands for the first time the new 10 Questions on Seventh-day Adventism by Rose Publishing. Amazing--it's actually real!

Colleen:"we are already receiving requests to have names dropped from the list."

That just makes my heart sink :-( They are so afraid of being "deceived" that they ARE being deceived... but the Adventist "veil" is so blinding that they just cant understand that the deception is coming from inside their own denomination. :-(

Colleen:" We are also receiving letters and calls saying this issue has been really impacting and people want multiple copies of it."

YES !!!!! :-)
I would also like multiple copies.. I thought about printing them out on my computer, but while that is ok for myself... I dont think it would have the same impact when being shared with others as people holding the real thing in their hands.
We are planning to go to in laws house for Thanksgiving this year and there will be several brother and sister in laws there who are no longer SDA but kind of in limbo...so I would love to give them an issue of Proclamation to put in their cars to take home (I won't of course give them out in my SDA MIL's home.... but outside the doors..YEP.:-)
