Hi everybody!
I am having a discussion going on on FB conserning a recently published norwegian book dealing with the legalistic culture within adventism. The book is a mix between a novel and a biography. Interesting, funny written and hits the nail on the head. My comment on FB concerning this book was that the legalism within sda is rooted in its theology, and encourraged people to discover the connection. MY did hell break out! The response I got was that
-faith is a personal thing,
-one cannot compare religions,
-theology is an interpretation of something and cannot be said to be right or wrong,
-I have been fanatic as an sda and thats why I left. That one also said that she is surprised that I am not finished with sda yet.

My! I did not start the thread in order to offend anybodys personal belief, but they sure feel free to hit back... My inteniton was to suggest a link between legalism and false theology. Oh, it is so much easier to write such things on FAF than on Facebook... The vail is so present - Please Lord remove it from their eyes!!

Berit,

If you insist in hanging around with the Spirit you can expect some "grief" to come your way. After all the Spirit is widely recognized as a "disturber of the peace".

God always sees to the work of challenging the status quo, thanks for letting yourself be lead to work with Him.

As C.S.Lewis says of Aslan;
"...he is not a safe lion but He is GOOD..."
