Has anyone else here listened to this Podcast which I found in the iTunes Store—it is free so if anyone gets a chance to listen to it (63:21 in length) I’d be curious to hear comments.

It’s under Podcasts > Religion & Spirituality > Christianity > Dr. Dan Hayden

The URL is-- http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/seventh-day-adventism-sect/id281557753?i=39169947

and look for #97

Or if you have iTunes, just cut and paste this in the search window

“Seventh-Day Adventisim - Sect or Cult?”

Released in 9/21/08, Dr. Hayden gave a good historical background and overview of the SDA Institution. He knows more about the Institution than I think most current SDA’s even know about their institution’s Origins—or perhaps that was just an issue I had.

Not to spoil it for those who haven’t heard it, while I agree with his history and final conclusion as to how to reach out to SDAs, I see that like Walter Martin he arrived at the same conclusion because of, Questions on Doctrine (“QOD”). QOD is not the official position of the SDA Institution rather it was misdirection, “sleight of hand” that is still works today.

While the label of “Cult” or “Sect” is really irrelevant when the teachings are false—frankly I believe “Sect” makes it more deadly since it allows such doctrines to “fly beneath the radar”. I do plan to follow-up with some questions to Dr. Hayden to see if he has since then revised his positions.

Cheers,
Ben

Go for it, Ben. He should also receive the last issue of Proclamation and one of Rose Publishing's brochures. If you email me his address, we can send him that magazine issue.

You can email me at proclamation@gmail.com
