I have heard from many Adventists this, " I am Adventist but I don't believe this, or I don't believe that." In saying this they are referring to some Adventist teaching. One of those many "Adventist BUT's" is that Ellen G White as a inspired prophet. I also remember watching the videos of Rea and Ford on the John Ankerburg Show where Ford & Rea said most Professors and Ministers in the Institution, actually oppose to how EGW is used.

I also know Adventist's are pressed to Tithe and ultimately a portion of that Tithe makes it to the coffers of the General Conference. In my poking around I read of many GC Conference men who have lifetime appointments on the EGW Estate's Board of Directors/Trustees, the GC also supports the BRI who heavily quotes from EGW.

Am I correct then in assuming that my Tithes, at one time, were used in the financial support of organizations I would never have knowingly given direct financial support too (e.g., EGW Estate or BRI)? If so then am I correct in my reasoning that today, when an "EGW Adventist But" puts in their 10%, they are also unknowingly supporting the EGW Estate and BRI?

Just curious as to how some of these funds may be used to provide support to the "ministry" and are actually going to these organizations.

An active tither in the SDA church is financially supporting activities other than the Estate and BRI, that are listed and of concern to the operators of this web site.....

Some are well known from the past and some were quietly hushed up....
