Last night I again watched Chris Oberg's interview following the Desmond Ford visit to Southern California several years back. I was angry the rest of the night!! They are SOOOO uneducated on scripture! And these are their leaders. It's like listening to pharisees. She said that "a God who is good all the time, IF He is good all the time, would never have wrath for man and choose to direct it at Jesus" (?!?!?!?) They don't understand at all. She said that Desmond spent too much time on the wrath of God and not enough time on the wrath of the men who hung "Jesus of Nazareth" to the cross. She called Him, "Jesus of Nazareth"(!!!)! She couldn't call Him; Christ, Messiah, Righteous One, LORD, Father of Eternity, Mighty God, Prince of Peace, Lamb Who was Slain, Burden Bearer, Word of God, Holy One!! It was simply, "Jesus of Nazareth." They are so focused on MAN they cannot see God. This is their leader. They are drawn to her because she is funny, controversial and entertaining. She scratches their itchy ears. (2 Timothy) Sigh... When the anger at such blasphemy passes, I just end up feeling so sad. I think it's ok to say to you all that I hate their teaching. Fine...call me disgruntled, but I think it's ok to hate the things God hates-- and I HATE blasphemy. That being said, I love these people. Chris once meant a lot to me. Now I just ache for her. This is when all you can do is hit your knees. If that woman would come to know truth, she is the type to do good things for the kingdom. | ||

Oh, my goodness! This pastor does not even know the Bible or the gospel of Jesus Christ! The atonement?! Oh, pshaw! That's just so not like God. It's just so bloody! I mean, who needs the blood of Jesus?! That's just such a primitive, disgusting teaching (snicker, snicker)--we've gotten SO beyond that! WE are SO much smarter than those atonement ideas! G-r-r-r What's the verse again about counting Jesus' blood as an unholy thing??? Thank you SO much for posting this!!! | ||

I can't stand it when people come up with right-sounding ideas, arguments and alternatives that are not supported by the Bible. How many definitions could there possibly be to "wrath of God." These people prefer to worship a god of their own making. He certainly is not the One in the Bible. |
