This from the adventist pastor friend of mine on Facebook. Debating whether or not to respond to his post or send him a private message or just not do anything.

Obviously, he has read egw extensively as the whole paragraph sounds just like something she would have written.

"As the new week begins, let us all commit to resurrendering our lives unreservedly into the control of our Heavenly Father to do His will in our lives to be a blessing in the communities in which we live to reflect His Character by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit living the life of Jesus in us. Probation Time is drawing closed Are you ready to live by faith without a mediator?"

You can't make this stuff up.

Your thoughts....

Thought # 1. Huh? This sentence is in desperate need of punctuation. It resembles the handwritten page of EGWs writings that many of us have probably seen...sentences all run together, etc.

#2. Who exactly is this guy having faith IN? The Jesus I know said He wouldn't leave us.

#3. If this man wants to be on probation, without a Mediator--that's his choice. As for me---NO THANK YOU!

#4. I am SO glad I don't have to 'start over' in relationship to our Abba...He's with us 24/7. No more fluctuations.

The idea of living for even one moment without a Mediator just makes me ache all over. I'm so glad Jesus said he would never leave me or forsake me.

Nowisee, your point about the punctuation echoes my reaction as well.

Honestwitness, I totally agree with you.

"Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25

This is another verse that contradicts SDAism!
