Hi all,

BSF is studying the book of Acts this year! We're only two weeks in, but so far it's fantastic. The first week was an overview of the book, but also the nature of our spirits. Last night was an introduction to the Holy Spirit, and of course the beginning of the Church.

If you've ever wanted to take a neutral, Bible only, line by line inductive study, this is for you! There are BSF groups all over the world and you can find a class in your area here ~ http://bsfinternational.org/Classes/Locate/tabid/81/Default.aspx

There are men only and women only classes, and many have BSF for kids. Keep in mind this is not put out by any particular church/denomination. You're not even allowed to mention your own affiliation - this is all about the Bible! Great fellowship, and you're usually put in a class with people in your age range and similar backgrounds.

The study is one book per year (there are 7 total)

The year starts in Sept and ends in May

Classes are weekly with breaks at certain holidays

Classes are FREE!!

Even though the year has started, you can jump in at any time. I just want to encourage all of you who have ever considered it to just try it out. It's a wonderful way to get to know the Bible.

:-) Leigh Anne

Leigh Anne, I will second that. I started BSF in January of this year and am now with you in the Acts study.
I would encourage anyone to study with BSF.

~This Thursday morning is my first meeting of Ladies Bible Study at my church~Calvary Chapel in Orange County, Ca. This will be my 5TH Season!
Our study will be in a book entitled~'Live A Praying Life'~written by Jennifer Kennedy Dean~

I am really looking forward to this time of study & fellowship with 'Sisters-in-CHRIST~

A special moment for me this afternoon when I was at Staples to have my study book spiral bound and the covers laminated~ a gentleman was waiting beside me & when I put my book on the counter he looked at the book and asked,"is that a good book?"
I answered "yes" and proceeded to tell him about my upcoming Bible Study~He asked me where I went to church when I told him he smiled and said many years ago at the age of 19 he was baptized by Chuck Smith after receiving CHRIST at Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa! I just love these little moments GOD graciously gives us!

Handmaiden, this study is written so that it can easily by done on a individual basis outside of a group~ perhaps you might be interested?

~Praying for all of you that are in Bible Study Groups this Season~

~HELLO~Handmaiden~
Does this mean you are going to be doing the study?! I just got home from the first session~it is wonderful to pray & worship in music with
the large group of ladies~and in the small groups you begin to bond in study & prayer for one another~

If you would like you may get my personal e-mail from our mutual 'friend' here on the Forum & we can share what we are learning?!

Looking forward to hearing from you~
