Colossians 3:1-4 encourages us to set our minds on Christ and not on earthly things. When I read the following article I thought what a reminder it was of what we, as believers in Christ, have to look forward to. Having this perspective especially helps me when I are going through trials.

Thanks for linking that, Deb, that is really uplifting. Randy Alcorn has a terrific book called "Heaven," that challenges a lot of unbiblical thinking the church inherited from Plato and old Athens. He shows how Heaven is going to be so very "earthy," yet as the best of all worlds.

It doesn't matter what happens on this Earth, just where we end up later on. We also want others to accept Jesus so they can have a reward.
