I remember reading here last year before I was a member that EGW had said somewhere in the Testimonies that eating bacon was a sin. This interested me, so I tried to find the reference by searching the EGW works online. I wasn't able to find one instance of the word bacon at all. I tried browsing the pages referenced in the quote, but I couldn't find it. I know how inconsistent EGW pagination can be.

So, does anyone remember that reference and can help me find it?

Thanks!

In the "Testimonies" Vol 2 pp. 36&96 are references to the use of lard & pork.

The White Estate has produced a series of studies to be used in teaching children Healthful Living. Entitled: God's Messenger: Meeting Kid's Needs.

One of stories in the series is entitled: "Holy,Healthy, Living." In the story the family was eating~BACON, eggs, butter & cream. Mrs. White convinced the family this is what was making the boy sick and recommended a diet free from these foods.

Perhaps you might like to take a look at the series and this particular story yourself, and draw your own conclusions about the teaching.

As far as I am concerned, the ENTIRETY of "egw's" writings do not come from God. I believe she is a false prophet. Because of my belief, I cannot "cherry-pick" what I might think acceptable or not acceptable.
