Francie, I'm praying now for Melody.

Thank you all for praying...I continue to ask for your prayers as we face her rehab and future living situation. Mom's still in the hospital; I'm going this afternoon to meet her physical therapist as he has her get up and walk. She said the pain involved in walking is worse that having a baby...sigh...

God is faithful. Thank you all!

Hi all,
Just a request really. A couple of weeks ago I was in Austria, as I was invited to visit and minister to a Hungarian group there, but also I had the opportunity to preach in the Austrian church, in German for the first time in my life, and amazingly, it did not go too badly! Anyway...
As the subject of Adventism and particularly soul sleep keeps coming up in my life...
A strange request...
Does anyone know if the fundamental doctrines of the SDA church are available in German anywhere, as I need to translate a couple of my studies into that language. Online or personal would be great.
Thanks all of you, for your support in the present and in the past.
God bless,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

I don't know German, but I think this may be what you're looking for, haha:

http://www.adventisten.de/ueber-uns/unser-glaube/unsere-glaubenspunkte/praeambel/

I just realized that their official translations of their Fundamental Beliefs into various languages may provide additional insight into their actual understanding of their beliefs. Hmmm...

Interesting thought, Jeremy.

Adrian, I find it so interesting that these subjects keep crossing your path.

My mom, Asurprise, is in acute rehab and doing well, they tell me, but she's still practicing basic skills of mobility and task management. She has a lot of pain, but she admits she's getting more and more able to go longer and to do more.

I'm praying they won't release her prematurely. Thank you for your prayers.

Francie and Colleen,

I have been jumping into the forum here and there and have not been in the prayer section. Though some time has passed since the original requests I am praying now as physical and emotional healing certainly is a process rather than an event.

I know God hears and answers prayer because He cares so much

Thank you, Enoch. My mom is being discharged from acute rehab to a skilled nursing facility for about six weeks. It's good--but it's also tough. She's frail and has a lot of pain...but she is working hard.

Diana, Flyinglady, called me and asked me to post a prayer request for her. She was admitted to the hospital last night after having tightness in her chest. They've run a battery of tests which all yielded negative results for a heart attack, but they didn't want to release her until they got the results of a stress test.

The stress test was this morning; as of late afternoon, there were still no results that she knew of.

Please pray for Diana, for her health and for peace and comfort and a good diagnosis.

Thanks to everyone!

Hi all! The results of the stress test arrived after 5 PM this evening. There were no abnormalities. I had to call my sister, who was on her way home. She works across the street from the hospital and had just left work. THANK YOU AWESOME GOD I AM FINE. It was just air bubbles giving me trouble.
Thanks all for the prayers.
