Thanks everyone I really do appreciate it. I haven't made any decisions yet. She has apologized and I forgive her but I don't trust her as she says she's in a midlife crisis and I'm not convinced she is willing to do the right thing from now on. She's saying that I would be better off without her and that I should marry a Christian

Despite it all, I am utterly amazed at how God is lifting me up in this. My family is my most prized possession on earth and despite the fact that it could fall apart the fact that He is so real to me makes it practically for me to not trust Him. I'm so glad I know Him, if I weren't saved I don't know what I'd do right now. I'm going moment by moment but it's in His strength. I don't know what tomorrow holds but I thank Him that He's already working on that for me.

Thank ya'll I know your prayers are playing a big part in my sanity right now

Enoch : "She's saying that I would be better off without her and that I should marry a Christian "

I believe that is the GUILT she is feeling reaching out to you as she cannot believe that you have REALLY "forgiven" her.I am sure she does not feel that she "deserves" to be forgiven. But then, NONE of us "deserve" to be forgiven, do we ?
You have said you "forgive" her... but do not "trust" her. That is understandable, trust takes time to rebuild once it is torn down.
As far as her saying she is having a "mid life crisis"....... Personally..... I think she is probably feeling so guilty over what she has done that she is looking for any reason (excuse) even if it is in reality total BS.... to try and rationalize both to you and to herself why she would have done something so stupid.
Her "mid life crisis" should at this point be to be truly repentant and to realize how lucky she is to have a wonderful caring and forgiving husband and those great kids.
Right now she is probably feeling a LOT of guilt,,, but also probably a LOT of self pity in realizing what she has done, and how it could effect you, her and the children and realizing there is a very real possibility she could lose it ALL.
Prayers for your family will continue. May God heal your family and keep you in His care.
(Just my personal opinion here... discard if you feel I am the one full of BS) :-)

Enoch; I just now read what you wrote. I'm sorry I didn't read it earlier. I tend to look at the titles of the threads and skip around. (I often overlook "Prayer Requests.") I'm praying for you too.

Oh, Enoch, I don't know how I missed this! I am so sorry for the pain you are having to go through--but I do know that Jesus is walking through this storm in your lives just as He went through the storm on Galilee with His disciples. He is very close to us in our pain. He will not leave you. Praying for you right now. Love you, brother.

Hey all,

I have another prayer request. My 86 year old aunt has had a series of falls lately that has required her to give up her home and move in with my very SDA parents.

She is a dedicated Christian who has stood strong in her faith and is quite open that she is ready to go home whenever God calls. She has a marvelous sense of humor and I've even seen her roll her eyes when my Mom has been on an SDA soapbox

What I am concerned about is the constant influence of 3ABN and the SDA lifestyle she'll be surrounded by. I don't think she'd become SDA but having mixed messages simply is not the most spiritually healthy place for her to be in.

Thanks

Enoch, Praying for your aunt that God's presence
keep her strong. Can you get her an audio Bible that she can listen to whenever she wants?

Enoch, praying now for your aunt. I am so sorry...but God knows. When my father was failing during the weeks before his death, I prayed that God would speak to him in a "place" (his spirit) that didn't need words. I saw evidence that God did that. He provided for him in surprising ways and released him from some overwhelming suffering and struggling.

I ma praying that God will hold and strengthen your aunt and give her confidence and peace and comfort in Jesus no matter what is around her.

I have a suggestion:

I have a prayer software that allows me to keep track of when I pray, for whom, when the prayer was answer, etc. Wouldn't be nice if after we have teen praying for something specific you could know when it was answer so we can record it as answer. We know that sometime God answers prayers different than we ask, but know that he answered them will give us some encouragement. Also it seems foolish to continue praying for a prayer that God already answered.

I don't often post in this sub-forum, but I REALLY need prayers right now. I have two sons who are possibly facing very long prison sentences in two different states, not my home state, for two completely unrelated incidents that took place at completely different times. This is absolutely the worst nightmare I could ever have imagined going through. Not one, but TWO, of my three grown sons! I'm in absolute agony. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Honestwitness, I will be praying for you and your family. May God give you peace and a calm mind now.
